RESOLU'T'ION NO. 1375
RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
OTFX OF LODI PROPOSES TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO SLID CITY, DESIGNATED FOR TEE PURPOSES
WHEREOF "LAKE STREFT ADDITION" AND MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of October, 1947, this City Council did
receive the petition of Cordon L. Nichols, et al., owners of more than
one-fourth of the area and representing not less than one-fourth of the
assessed value of the lands affected thereby, requesting that the herein-
after described territory in San Joaquin County, contiguous to this
City and uninhabited within the meaning of the set, be annexed to and
made part of the City of Lodi in accordance with proceedings had and to
be had in accordance with the provisions of the "Annexation of Unin-
habited Territory Act of 1939", as amended, and,
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of this City has reported that
the design of the subdivision or subdivisions comprising the territory
proposed fox :�aexation, the improvements thereon and the public im-
provements therein are not inferior to the design of subdivisions,
improvements and public improvements in the City of Lodi as required
by the ordinances, laws and regulations of said City, therefore,
HE IT RESOLVED, that it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Lodi, hereby expressed, to annex the said uninhabited territory
in accordance with proceedings to be had in accordance with the provisions
of the act above mentioned. For the purpose of said annexation, the said
territory io hereby designated "LAKE STREET ADDITION" for identification
and is particularly described as follows -
LOTS SIXTEEN (16) AND SEVENT(17) AS SAID LOTS APE DELINEATED
AND SO DESIGNATED ON fl OFFICIAL MAP OF " GERARD TRACT" MAP FILED
AUGUST 8, 1916 IN VOL. 8, PACE 62 OF MAPS AND PLATS, SA& TOA0IN
COUNTY RECORDS, EXCEPTING THE SOUTH SIX (6) FEET OF THE WEST ONE
ACRE OF SAID LOT 17.
E IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND NOTICE IS h REBY GIVEN, that this City
Council has fiaied WEDNESDAY the 19th day of November, 1947 at the hour
of 8:00 p.m. of said day and the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi,
California as the time and place when and where protests or objections
against the annexation herein comtemy.lated will be received, heard and
considered from property owners affected thereby. Such protests or
objections must conform to the provisions of Section 6 of the act under
which it is proposed to annex this territory.
The City Clerk will give notice of the adoption of this resolution
by causing the same to be published tor at least two consecutive weeks in
The Lodi Times, a weekly newspaper printed and published in this City
and hereby designated for this purpose;

going Resolution No. 1375 was regularly introduced, passed and ado:ted
in regular adjourned meeting by the City Council of the City of Lodi
on the 22nd day of October, 1947 by the following vote:
ASS: Councilmen, Haskell, Lytle, Riggs, Tolliver and Rinn.
NOES: Councilmen, None.
ABSENT: Councilmen, None.
