RESOLUTION NO. 137A RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI PROPOSES TO ANNEL CERTAIN UNIN- HABITED TERRITORY TO SAID CITY, DESIGNATED FOR THE PURP OSE:3 " MOR 1Z ADDITICO " AND WORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HER MN. WHEREA5, on the 22nd day of October, 1947, this City Council did receive the petition of Theodore Entsi and Selma R. Entsi, owners of more than one-fourth of the area and representing not less than one- fourth of the assessed value of the lands affected thereby, requesting that the hereinafter described territory in San Joaquin County, cont- iguous to this City and uninhabited within the meaning of the act, be annexed to and made part of the City of Lodi in accordance with proceed- Lags had and to be had in accordance with the provisions of the " Annex- ation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 ", as mended, and, WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of this City has reported that the design of the subdivision or subdivisions °apprising the territory proposed for annexation, the improvements thereon and the public improvements therein are not inferior to the design of subdiv- isions, improvements and public improvenenta in the City of Lodi as required by the ordinances, laws and regulations of said City, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Lodi, hereby expressed, to annex the said uninhabited terr- itory in accordance with proceedings to be had in accordance with the ,provisions of the act above mentioned. For the purpose of said antwx. ation, the said territory is hereby designated " MORENZ ADDITION " for identification and is particularly described as follows - LOTS 1 TO 24 AS SAID LOTS ARE DELINEATED AND 50 DESIGNATED C* THE OFFICIAL MAP OF MOREJZ TRACT, MAP FILED JUNE 25, 1947 IN BOOK OF MAPS AND PLATS, PAGE 151, VOL. 11, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY RECORDS, TOGETHER WITH THE NORTH 13.7 FEET OF LOT 4 OF THE GERARD TRACT, MAP FILED AUGUST 8, 1916 IN BOOK OF NAPS AND PLATS AT PAGE 62 OF VOL 8, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY RECORDS. tzJ BE IT FURTHER H SQLVED AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that this City Council has fixed WEDNESDAY the 19th day of Novea:ber, 1947 at the hour of 8:00 Pal. of said day and the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi, California as the time and place when and where protests or objections against the annexation herein contemplated will be received, heard and considered from property owners affected thereby. Such protests or objections must conform to the provisions of Section 6 of the act under which it is proposed to annex this territory. The City Clerk will give notice of the adoption of this resolution by causing the same to be published for at least two consecutive weeks in The Lodi fines, a weekly newspaper printed and published in this City and hereby designated for this purpose. BLAKELY, City Clerk of the City of Lodi and ex -officio Clerk of the City Council thereof, do hereby certify that the fore- going Resolution No. 1374 was regularly introduced, passed and adopted in regular adjourned meeting by the City Council of the City of Lodi on the 22nd day of October, 1947 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen, Haskell, Lytle, Riggs, Tolliver and Rinn NOES: Councilmen, None.
