RESOLUTION NO. 1372
ORDER DIRECTING VACATI0N OF A PORTION OF A
PUBLIC ALLEY IN LOT 8, BLOCK 13 OF HUTCHINS
ADDITION TO LODI AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
HEREIN
WHEREAS this City Council of the City of Lodi did on
the 17th day of September, 1947 pass and adopt its Resolution
No. 1360 declaring its intention to vacate, close up and abandon
the portion of a public alley next herein described viz:
The Westerly Thiry (30) Feet of the Public Alley
Described as follows: Beginning on the South-
east corner of Lot 37 of the Schroeder Tract, Map
Filed March 4, 1912 in Vol. 6 of Mapa and Plats
at Page 9 Thereof, San Joaquin County Records, and
Running Thence Westerly on and Along the South
Lines of Each of Lots 37, 36 and 35 of Said Tract
and the Westerly Extension thereof a Distance of
Two Hundred (200) Feet to a Point on the West
Line of Lot 8 in Block 13 of Hutchins Addition to
Lodi, Dap Filed April 10, 1897 in Vol. 1 of Maps
and Plats, Page 58, San Joaquin County Records,
Thence Southerly on said West Line Twenty (20)
Feet to the Northwest Corner of that Certain Lot
Conveyed by O. A. Schroeder and Wife to City of
Lodi by Deed Recorded February 3, 1925 in Vol. 128,
Page 85 of Official Records of San Joaquin County,
thence Easterly along the North Line of Said Lot
and the North Line of Lot 14 of the Schroeder Tract
to the Northeast Corner of said Lot 44, Thence
Northerly Twenty (20) Feet to the Southeast Corner
of Lot 37 of the Schroeder Tract and the Point of
Beginning.
and,
WHEREAS, notice of such intention was regularly
posted and published in time form and manner as required by law
as appears from the affidavit of W. L. Bruner, Superintendent
of Streets or this City, who personaily posted notice of said
intended vaction along the line of said alley on the 29th day
of September, 1947, and from the affidavit of Ada McKinnon,
principal Clerk of the publisher of The Lodi 'Dimes, the newspaper

of general circulation printed and published in this City in
which this City Council directed publication of said resolution,
such publication being had on the 25th day of September, 1947
and on the 2nd day of October, 1947, both of which affidavits
are on file and of record with the City Clerk of this City, and
WHEREAS among other things, the said Resolution No. 1360
gave notice that a public hearing for the reception of evidence
either for or against the vacation of this part of the public
alley above described would be held in the City Council Chambers,
City Hall, Lodi, California beginning at 8:15 F.M. of Wednesday,
October 15, 1947, and
WHEREAS at the aforementioned place and time a public
hearing was held and conducted at which no persons appeared to
submit evidence as to why said portion of said alley should not
be vacated or to protest said vacation and by reason thereof this
City Council has now acquired jurisdiction to order the vacation
and closing up of said portion of said alley, now therefore
BE.IT RESOLVED that this City Council dons hereby make
this its order vacating, closing up and abandoning the portion
of the public alley first in this resolution described and such
portion is now vacated as a public alley from and after this 15th
day of October, 1947.
The City Clerk shall cause a certified eopy of this
resolution and order to be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of San Joaquin County as required by the Street Vacation
Act of 1941.
