HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 1317Lodi, California RESOLUTION NO. 1317 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI PROPOS ,S TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO SAID CITY, DESIGNATED FOR THE PURPOSES 7/HEREOF riALNUT=k-ORCHARDADDITION" AND YORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN. HEREAS, on the 7th day of May, 1917, this City Council did receive the petition of Dare Dollinger and Dan payer, owners of more than one-fourth of the area and representinT1 more than one fourth of the assessed value of the lands s affected thereby, regrreeti.ng that the hereinafter described territory, contiguous to this City and uninhabited within the meaning of the act, be annexed to and made part of the City of Lodi, in accordance with proceedings to he had in accordance with the provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939" as amended, and, MEREAS, the City Planning Commission of this City has reported that the proposed subdivision of the lands as shown by the amended preliminary map thereof and the buildings thereon are not inferior to the standards of design, building construction requirements and public improvements required by the ordinances, laws and regulations of this City, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Lodi, hereby expressed, to annex the said uninhabited territory to said City under proceedings to be had. in accordance with the provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory. Act of 1939," as amended. Three (3) North, Range Seven (7) East: Beginning on the west line of Cherokee Lane, (State Highway 4), where said west line would be intersected by the Westerly projec- tion of the north line of said quarter section and running thence on and along said projection and on said north quarter section line a distance of three hundred fifty (350) feet more or less to an -iron rod, thence South 0° 341 East six hundred. sixty-seven and one half (6671) feet to an iron pin, thence South 87° 41' East five hundred sixteen and ninety-three hundredths (516.93) feet to an iron rod, thence South 1° 010 East 667.95 feet to a point on the 4 Section line, thence North 87° 40' West eight hundred forty- two and eighty -.five hundredths (842.85) feet more or less to the west line of said State Highway 4, said west line being the Easter- ly boundary line of the City of Lodi, thence North 00 34L' West along said west line one thousand three hundred thirty four and eight hundredths (1334.8) feet to the point of beginning, EXCEPTING therefrom any part heretofore annexed, to the City of Lodi as "Krieger Addition" by Ordinance No. 338 of the City Council of. the City of Lodi, a copy of which Ordinance was filed with the Secretary of State on December 14., 1946 and with the Recorder of San Joaquin County on December 16, 1946. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that this City Council has fixed Wednesday the 28th day of. lfay, 1947 at the hour of S o'clock P. M. of said day and the Council Chambers of this City Council in the City Hall, Locli, California as the time and place when and where protests or objections will he received, heard and considered from property owners affected thereby. Such protests or objections must conform to the provisions of Section 6 of the act under which it is proposed to annex this territory. The City Clerk will give notice of the adoption of this resolution by causing the same to be published for at least two consecutive weeks in The Lodi Times, a weekly newspaper printed and published in this City and hereby designa- ted for this purpose.
