RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PBOPOSED ANNEXATION TO
CITY OF LODI OF U1IINEABITED TERRTTORY DESCRIBED AEFiEIdr'
AND DESIGNATED "MAYER ADDITION" AND GIVING NOTICE OF
THVIE AND PLACE FOR REARING OF PROTESTS THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUDI s
1. That. pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Ant of 1959, a petition signed by owner8
of all of the land in the hereinafter described territory, by
area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assess-
ment roll of the County of San Joaquin, was filad with the Coun-
o i 1 of tho City of Lodi on April 5, 1961, requesting annexation
of the hereinafter desoribsd territory to said City.
2. That the territory whioh the petitioners request bt,
nnlsared to thu City of Lodi and wlxiuh said City and ita Council
proposed to annex, is oituate in the County of Yan Joaquin, State
of Oalifurnia, hereby designated "Mayer Addition" and dsaoribed
as follova:

Beginning at a point on the Booth line of beo-
tion 11, Township 3 North, Range 6 gust, Mount Dirrblu
Base
and Meridian, which point is 1846.5 feet Esst
of the Southwest oorner of said Section and in the
center line of the Woodbridge Irrigation Dietriot
oanel; thence Northerly 974 feet along the center line
of said irrigation canal to the true point of beginning'
thunae continuing Northerly 977 feet along the saes
line of the land uwned by E.J. Brown, as conveyed to
her by deed recorded in Book "A” Of Deeds, Volume 139,
page 593, San Joaquin County Heoordw; thence Easterly
326.5 feet, more or less, to a line wtaioh is 446.5 feet
West of and parallel to the East line of said outh-
vest Quarter; thsnoe Southerly 977 feet along this
line, also a City boundary line, which is 446.5 feet
West of and parallel to the !wet line of said Quarter
Section, to a corner of the City Limit Line; thenoe
Westerly 555 feet, more or less, along the City Limit
Line to the point of beginning; the area thus described
containing 7.4 sores, more or less.
5. That the County Boundary Commission of Snla Joaquin
County, California, did in eossion duly asswtnbled an April 3,
1961, consider and appxuve the proposed annexation boundaries
of said "Mayer Addition,' as above described, and hs submitted
to said Comaiss ion by the proponente of said annexation.
4. That Wednesday, May 17, 1961, at tha hour of d p.m.,
in the Council Chambers in tho City Hall in the City or Lodi,
County of San Joaquin, llat1iforf,ie., is hereby fixed as the time
and place when and where any perauu owning real property withit.
the uninhabited territory above desoribed and proposed to be
annaxed to the City of Lodi, and having any objeotiona to the
proposed annexation may appear before the Cmunoil of the City
of Lodi and show cause why suah uninhabited territory should not
be so annexed to the City of Lodi. The protest must be in
writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set fur hear-
ing objections to the proposed annexation and shall state the
name or names of the owner or uwners of property affeoted and
the description and area of suoh property, in general terms.
5. The City Clerk of the City of Lodi ie hereby authorized
and direoted to cause a Dopy of this resolution to be published
at least twioe, but not oftener than once a week, in the "Lodi
News- Sentinel," a newspaper of general oirculation published i n
said City of Lodi, the city to which it is proposed to annex
the aforesaid territory, said publioation to be complete at
least twenty days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be
annexed to said City, a structural improvement owned, being
a.oquired or leased by a county fire protection distriot, the
City Clark is direoted to oauae written notice of snoh proposed
annexation to be nuailea
to the governing body of suoh district,
such notice to be sent not less than ten days before the first
public herring upon suoh proposed annexation.
7. The City Clerk is direoted to cause Written uutioe to
be given to suoh other persons as may be legally entitled there-
to, in the manner required by law.
