CITY OF LODE COUNCIL COMMUNICATION
AGENDA TITLE: Specifications and Advertisement for Bids for Walk -Behind Trencher
for the Parks Division
MEETING DATE: May 15, 1996
SUBMITTED BY: Parks and Recreation Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specifications for
the above equipment and authorize advertising for
bids.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Parks Division has spent over $2,000 in the
last three (3) months on rental fees for Walk -
Behind Trenchers. This type of small equipment
is used quite often by the department for digging of sprinkler lines, electrical and
drainage pipe trenches.
In order to save funds from being expensed for rentals, the department is requesting
the purchase of a Walk -Behind Trencher.
Project Estimate: $7,000.00
Planned Bid Opening Date: June 5, 1996
