HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2308RFSOLUIION NO. 2308 AWARD - FIRE DEPARTMENT CAR WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accor- dance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of this city at 4 p.m., March 14, 1960, for the purchase by the City of Lodi of one sedan for the Fire Department as described in the specifications therefor approved by this City Council in regularly adjourned meeting held on February 24, 1960; and WHEREAS, three bids were received as follows: Woodrow Mitchell Plymouth Patroller. 42,170.00 Krieger Motor Company.. Ford Fairlane 2,176.80 Loewen Auto Company .... Chevrolet Biscayne -. 2,190.00 WHEREAS, the City Marluger recommended that award be uaue to Woodrow Mitchell for the Plymouth Patrol3.er as the lowest and best bid; and WHEREAS, Gine City mna er further rocomrueuded tibavy duty three -speed transmission be included in tne pur- chase of the car for a further sun of $21.40; NOW, THEREFORE bE IT RESOLVED, that award of contract for tne sale of One Sedan to the City of Lodi be and the same is hereby awarded to Woodrow Mitchell for the Plymouth Patroller for a sum of $2,170.00, plus $21.40 for the heavy duty transmission, making a total sum of $2,191.40. On the adoption of this resolution, the Finance Director shall place his order for said car with the .. over successful bidder and obtain his acceptance therefor and shall notify the unsuccessful bidders of the award made herein.
