AWARD ' POLICE CARS
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accor-
dance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed
bids were received and publicly opened by the City Clerk
of this City at 4 p.m., March 14, 1960, for the purchase
by the City of Lodi of seven cars for the Police Department
as described in the specifications therefor approved by
this City Council in regularly adjourned meeting held on
February 24, 1960; and
WHEREAS, four bids were received as follows:
Krieger Motor Company..Ford Fafriar-J.9
Woodrow Mitchell Plymouth Belvedere.
Woodrow Mitchell.. .... Plymouth Patroller.
Loewen Auto Company... Chevrolet Bel Air

WHEREAS, the City Manaaer recommended that award be
made to Woodrow Mitcheil for -the Plymouth Patroller as the
lowest and best bid; and
WH ;MAS, the City Manager further recommended ttlnt the
heavy duty three -speed transmission be included in the pur-
chase of the cars for a further sum of $21.40 for each car;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that award of contract
for the sale of Seven Police Cars to the City of Lodi be and
the same is hereby awarded to Woodrow Mitchell for the Plymouth
Patrollers for a sum of $8,818.00, plus $149.80 for the
heavy duty transmission, making a total sum of $8,967.80•
Uu tc,a adoption of this resclutiou., the Finance
Director shall place h;fs order for said police cars with
the above successful bidder and obtain his acceptance
therefor and shall notify the unsuccessful bidders of
the award made herein.

Certified to be a full, true and correct copy of
Resolution Nu. 2307 of the City Coaneil or the
City of Lodi passed and adopted in regular meet-
ing held April 6, 1960, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen' Culbertson, Kateakian, Mitchell,
Robinson and Brown
Noes : Councilmen ' None
Absent: Councilmen ' None
