IUSOLUTION CF THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY
OF LODI GIVING NOTICE CF TRS PROPOSED ANNi X--
AT1ON CF THE RERSINAPTO DESCRIBED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED A6 "MST LOGKEFORD STREET ADDITION"
TO THE CITY CF LODI
WHEREAS, under the provisions of that certain Act of the
Legislature of the State of California entitled "Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", proceedings for the annexation
to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter particularly
described have been initiated by the filing of a petition for
annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed by the owners of all of the land, both by area and assessed
value, in said territory proposed to be annexed, and
fes, the exterior boundaries of said territory described
in said petition and which territory is contiguous to the limits
of the City of Lodi, San Joaquin County, State of California, are
described as follows:
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2,
Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Ease and
Meridian, San Joaquin County, California, and more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Beginaft at the Southeast Corner of the Northwest
Quarter of said Section 2; thence Westerly along the
South line of said Northwest Quarter429.25 feet to the
true point of beginning, which point is also a corner
of the present boundary line of the City of Lodi; thence
Northerly and parallel to the Oast line of said Northwest
Quarteralarlg a line, which is also a boundary line of
the City of Lodi, 439 feet to its intersection with the
center line of West Lockeford Street, previously known
as Loakeford Avenue; thence Westerly along said center
1ine of West Lockeford Street, also a City boundary,

670.5 feet to its intersection with the center line of
gross Street; thence Northerly along the said center line
of Cross Street, also a City boundary, 30 feet to its
intersection with the extended North line of West Locke -
ford Street; thence Westerly along the North line of West
Lockeford Street, also a City boundary, 442.8 feet to the
Southeast corner of Lot 36, Gerard Tract subdivision,
as filed for record on August 8, 1916 at page 62, Volume
8, Book of Maps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records,
which point is also a corner of the present City boundary;
thence continuing along the north line of West Lockeford
Street 142.8 feet to its intersection with the center
line of Lona Drive, previously known as the Northerly
extension of Lockeford Avenue; thence Southerly along
the center line of Loma Drive, also a City boundary,
30 feet to its intersection with the center line of West
Lockeford Street; thence easterly along the center line
of West Lockeford Street, also a City boundary, 860.6
feet to its intersection with the extended West line
of Cross Street; thence Southerly along the extended
West line of Cross Street, also a City boundary, 30 feet
to its intersection with the south line of West Lockeford
Street; thence Easterly along the extended South line
of West Lockeford Street, also a City boundary, 50 feet
to its intersection with the East line of Cross Street;
thence Southerly along the vast line of Cross Street,
also a City boundary, 1+09 feet to its interssotion wlth
the South line of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2;
thence r;asterly along the said South line of the North-
west Quarter, a l s o a City boundary line, 645.5 feet to
the true point of beginning; the described area contain-
ing 6.9 acres, more or less.

WI -IAS, the aforesaid petition for annexation of the terri-
tory hereinbefore described to the City of Lodi, a municipal cor-
poration, has been filed with and received by the Council of the
City of Lodl, and
itairatearil, less than twelve registered voters reside within
said territory thereby qualifying the territory for annexation
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939, and
YEAS, the boundaries of said territory have been approved
by the County Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County as to
their definiteness and certainty at a meeting of that body on
February 11,1958i now, therefore,
Bt IT RRSOLVsD, as follows:
1. That The City Council of the City of Lodi does by this
resolution give notice of such proposed annexation; does hereby
designate said territory as "West Lockeford Street Addition";
and further, does fix Wednesday, 1i 20, 1959, at the hour of
8;00 o'clock p.m. at the City Council Chambers, City Hell, Lodi,
California, as the day, hour and place when and where any person
owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed
and having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear
before the City Council end show cause why said territory should
not be annexed.
2. That the Clerk of the City of Lodi be and she is hereby
directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least
twice in the "Lodi News -Sentinel", a newspaper printed, published
and circulated in the City of Lodi, the municipal corporation to
which it is proposed to annex the hereinbefore described territory,
all in the time, form and manner required by law, and that all
owners of the property proposad for annexation having signed the
petition for such annexation, publication of a copy of this

resolution outside of the City Limits of the City of Lodi is
therefore waived in accordance with Section 35311 of the Govern-
ment Code.
3. That at any time not later than the hour set for
hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of
property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file
written protest against the proposed annexation; that such protests
shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the
property affected thereby and the description and area of such
property in general terms.
Certified to be a full, true and correct copy
of Resolution No. 2223 or the City Council of the
City of Lodi and that the Same was passed and adopted
in regular meeting of said City Council held April 15,
1959.
