WHEREAS, by Public Law 655, 84th Congress (70 Stat. 493) , the
Federal government has authorized the donation of surplus Federal prop-
erty for civil defense purposes; and
WHERFA,Sy certain conditions are imposed by the Federal Civil
Defense Administration, the Department of Health, Education and Welfare,
the California Disaster Office, and the Surplus Property Division of the
State Department of Education in connection with the acquisition of such
property; and
WHEREAS the City (GISMO of 1.0111

shall be and is hereby authorized as the representative of said City
to sign for and accept surplus Federal property in accordance
with the conditions imposed by the above agencies; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of this Council I
is hereby authorized and directed to send two (2) certified copies of
this Resolution to the California Disaster Office, for filing with said
Disaster Office and with the State Department of Education; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that t olution of authorization
shall remain in full farce and effect until amended, superseded, or re-
scinded by resolution of this Council transmitted, in duplicate,
to the California Disaster Office. �

INSTRUCTIONS
The purpose of this resolution is to designate individual(s)
within your jurisdiction who are authorized to sign for and
accept surplus Federal property.
The original and one copy most be submitted to the California
Disaster Office, P. 0. Box 110, Sacramento 1, California.
If previous resolutions have been passed authorizing a surplus
property representative, the following procedures are to be
followed:
1. If you wish t o add a name:
The resolution should show the name of the individual(s)
previously authorized as well as the name of the person
t o be added.
2. If you wish to delete a name:
A paragraph must be added to the resolution stating all
previous resolutions are hereby superseded and rescinded
and the individual herein listed will be the only person
authorized to sign for surplus property on behalf of
your organization.
