W€irR&,AS, under the provisions of that certain Act of the
Legislature of the State of California entitled "Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", proceedings for the annexa-
tion to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter particularly
described have been initiated by the filing of a petition for
annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter
described by the owners of all of the land, both by area and
assessed value, in said territory proposed to be annexed, and
WHisRLAS, the exterior boundaries of said territory described
in said petition and which territory is contiguous to the limits
of the City of Lodi, San Joaquin County, State of California,
are described as follows::
portion of the Southwest Quarter of Section
36, Township 4 North, Range 6 bast, Mount Diablo Base
and Meridian, San Joaquin County, and being more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Commencing at an axle marking the Southwest cor-
ner of said quarter section as indicated on a Map of
Survey filed for record April 2, 1951 in Volume 8,
page 155, Record of Surveys, San Joaquin County Records;
thence North 89° 571 bast along the South line of
said quarter section, which line is also the center
line of Turner Road, 577.2 feet to a point; thence
North 1° 231 West, 30 feet to a point on the North
line of Turner Road, which point is the true point
of beginning; thence North 1° 23' West along a line,
also a boundary line of the City of Lodi, construed
as the bast line of that certain 3.23 acre parcel

filed for record March 31, 1953 in volume 1508 of
Official Records, page 518, San Joaquin County Records,
100 feet; thence North 89° 571 Last and parallel
to the said South line, 70 feet; thence South 10
231 Last, 100 feet to a point on the North line
of Turner Road; thence South 89° 57' West, 70 feet
along the North line of Turner Road, also a City
boundary line, to the point of beginning; the des-
cribed parcel containing 0.16 acres, more or less.
WHrRr,AS, the aforesaid petition for annexation of the
territory hereinbefore described to the City of Lodi, a municipal
corporation, has been filed with and received by the Council of
the City of Lodi, and
WILatAS, less than twelve registered voters reside within
said territory thereby qualifying the territory for annexation
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939, and
WthsRLAS, the boundaries of said territory have been approved
by the County Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County as to
their definiteness and certainty at a meeting of that body on
January 12, 1959, iiw therefore
Et, IT RaSOLViD, as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Lodi does by this
resolution give notice of such proposed annexation; does hereby
designate said territory as "Coe Addition" g and further, does
fix Wednesday, March if, 1959 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m.
at the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi, California, as
the day, hour and place when and where any person owning real
property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and
having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear be-
fore the City Council and show cause wiry said territory should
not be annexed.

2. That the Clerk of the City of Lodi be and she is
hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be pub-
lished at least twice LA the "Lodi News -Sentinel", a newspaper
printed, published and circulated in the City of Lodi, the
municipal corporation to which it is proposed to annex the
hereinbefore described territory, all in the time, form and
manner required by law, and that a 11 owners of the property
proposed for annexation having signed the petition for such
annexation, publication of a copy of this resolution outside
of the City Limits of the City of Lodi is therefore waived
in accordance with Section 35311 of the Government Code.
3. That at any time not later than the hour set for hearing
objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property
within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written
protest against the proposed annexation; that such protests
shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the
property affected thereby and the description and area of such
property in general terms.
Certified to be a full, true and correct copy of
Resolution No. 2193 of the City Council of the City
of Lodi as passed and adopted in regular mbeting of
said City Council held January 21, 1959.
