BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At its April 17, 1996 meeting, the City Council approved the Central City Revitalization Assessment District with certain changes. Bond Counsel has recommended these changes be incorporated into the attached resolution and brought back to the Council for approval rather than handling them administratively. The boundaries have been modified to eliminate the property in the Downtown zone east of the railroad property. A reduced copy of the amended District map is attached. The Engineer's Report has been amended to reflect the boundary change, and the City's contribution increased accordingly. In addition, some minor corrections have been made based on questions raised by individual property owners during the protest period. No assessments have been increased as a result of these changes.
