HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2006-214RESOLUTION NO. 2006-214 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL REJECTING THE BIDS FOR LODI AVENUE AT STOCKTON STREET, ELM STREET, AND HAM LANE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STRIPING MODIFICATIONS WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on October 25, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., for the Lodi Avenue at Stockton Street, Elm Street, and Ham Lane Traffic Signal and Striping Modifications, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on October4,2006; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a reportthereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder/Location Bid Engineer's Estimate $42,000 Steiny and Company $68,599 Pacific Excavation, Inc. $72,014 Richard Heaps Electrical $77,986 Collins Electric $81,300 WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council reject all bids received for this contract, allowing staff to redesign improvements or combine the project with other similar improvements at a later date in order to reduce costs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council hereby rejects all bids for Lodi Avenue at Stockton Street, Elm Street, and Ham Lane Traffic Signal and Striping Modifications.
