HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2006-183A RESOLUTION OF THE LORI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR PROGRAM, FISCAL YEAR 2006-07, AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNIS FOR ON-CALL TRAFFIC SIGNAL REPAIRS —���—�� WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the carder of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on September 27, 2006, at 11000 a.m., for Traffic Signal Preventive Maintenance and Repair Program,, Fiscal Year 200607, for the 47 City -maintained traffic signal systems described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council can September 6, 2006, and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Engineer's Estimate Republic Electric, Novato 1 $18,894 WHEREAS, staff recommends that the contract be awarded to Republic ITS, of Novato, California, in the amount of $16,894 and that an additional $20,000 in Measure K funds be appropriated for unforeseen traffic signal repairs; and WHEREAS, staff further recommends that the City Manager be authorized to extend the contract for an additional one-year period if mutually agreed upon by both parties. NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council hereby awards the contract for Traffic Signal Preventive Maintenance and Repair Programa, Fiscal Year 2006-07, for the 47 City -maintained traffic signal systems to Republic ITS, of Novato, California, in the amount of $16,694; and RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council hereby appropriates a additional $20,000 in Measure K Rands for unforeseen traffic signal repairs; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to extend the contract for an additional one-year period if mutually agreed upon by both parties.
