A RESOLUTION APPROVING T14 -E ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED 'SOUTH STOCKTON
STREET NO, 2 ADDITION,' TO THE CITY OF LODI
WHEREAS, pursuant tc the provisions of the Annexation of U; inhabited
Territory Act o` 1939 a petition signed by all of the owners of certain unin-
habited ter ri"o.wy, hereinafter more particularly described, was presented to
the City of Lodi which pet.it.on did request annexation of said territory to
the City of Lodi; and
WHEREAS,
said petition
was
presented to the San Joaquin County Local
Agency Formation
Co;nmission
for
their approval and the approval cf that
body was given at
its meeting
held
on May 15, 1870; and
WHEREAS, the San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission
granted the City of Lodi power to waive notice and hearing on the proposed
annexation pursuant to the provisions of Section 54797.1 of the Government.
Code; and
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council of the City
of Lodi at its regular meeting held on May 27, 1970; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi finds the foregoing
statements to be true and correct; and that said territory is contiguous to the
City of Lodi and that the same is uninhabited territory in the County of San
Joaquin;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby
approve the annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter
described and does hereby further resolve that said territory be and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi.
That said territory, the annexation of which is described as follows:
A portion of the Southeast one-quarter (SE 1/41 of Section twelve
(12), Township three (3) North, Range six (6) East, Mount Diablo Base
and Meridian, and a portion of the Northeast one-quarter (NE 1/4) cf
Section thirteen (13), Township three (3) North, Range six (6) East,
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian.
Beginning at a point which is common to a parcel of land annexed to
the City of Lodi as the "Academy Addition" as described in City of
Lodi Ordinance No. 229 as adopted on the 4th day of January, 1937,
and a parcel of land annexed to the City of Lodi as the "Stockton
Street Addition" as described in Lodi City Council Resolution No. 2971
as adopted on %he3rd day of August, 1966, which point lies North 0'

5 1/2' West 25.03 feet and North 87" 06' East 70.00 feet from the North-
west. corner of said Northeast one-quarter of Section 13, (as shown on
map of survey filed for record in Volume 5, Page 231, Record of Surveys
San Joaquin County Records), said point of beginning also being on the
north right-of-way line of State Highway Sign Route 12 (50 feet wide),
also known as Kettleman Lane; thence South 0' 5 1/Z' East, crossing
said State Highway, along the east side of said "Stockton Street Addition"
150.03 feet to the southeast corner of said addition; thence South 87"
06' West along the south line of said addition to 49. 98 feet to a point
on the East right-of-way line of Stockton Street (40 feet wide); thence
South 0' 5 1/Z' East, along said East right-of-way line of Stockton
Street 50.00 feet; thence North 87" 06' East 60.00 feet; thence North
0" 5 1/2' West crossing said State Highway 200.03 feet to a point on
the south line of said "Academy Addition;" thence South 87* 06' West
along the south line of said "Academy Addition" 10.00 feet to the point
of beginning.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 3379 was passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Lodi in an adjourned regular meeting held
May 27, 1970.
