HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 3372RESOLUTION NO. 3372 AMENDING RULE IX, SECTION 3 OF "RULES FOR PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION, CITY OF LODI. CALIFORNIA" CONCERNING PROCEDURES FOR LEAVE WITHOUT PAY. RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lodi having previously approved Memorandums of Understanding concerning wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment as a result of negotiations with the San Joaquin County Employees Association and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1245, hereby amends Rule IX, Section 3 of "Rules for Personnel Administration. City of Lodi, California" to incorporate the agreement reached concerning the observance of holidays, said section to read: SECTION 3: Leave Without Pay: The Appointing Authority may grant an employee leave of absence, other than for extended active military duty, for a period not to exceed one year whenever such leave is considered to be in the best interests of the service. Such leave shall be requested in writing by the employee and shall require written approval by the department head and the appointing authority. Inability to return to work after an employee's sick leave has been exhausted will be considered on urgent and substantial reason for the granting of such leave. The conditions under which an employee will be restored to employment on the termination of a leave of absence shall be stated as clearly as possible at the time said leave is granted.
