RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
TO CITY OF LODI OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED
HEREIN AND DESIGXATED "ROBBY'S ADDITION, " AND
GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
PROTESTS THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth
of the iand in the hereinafter described territory, by area and by assessed
value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San
Joaquin, was filed with the Council of the City of Lodi on January 7, 1970
requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City.
2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to the
City of Lodi and which said City and its Council propose to annex is situate
in the County of Sari Joaquin, State of California, hereby designated "Robby's
Addition," and described as follows:
A portion of the Northwest one-quarter of Section 13, Township
three (3) North, Range six (6) East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian,
and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the South line of
said Northwest one-quarter with the East right-of-way of WEST
LANE (110 feet wide); thence North 87' 42' East, along said South
line, being along the City Limits line as described by City of Lodi
Ordinance No. 901, J. C. BECKMAN ADDITION, adopted July 2,
1969, a distance of 704. 95 feet to a point in the centerline of CHURCH
STREET: thence leaving said City Limits line, Northerly, along
said centerline 30.00 feet: thence South 87' 25' 30" West, 200.00
feet: thence Northerly, parallel to the centerline of said CHURCH
STREET, 300. 00 feet: thence North 87" 25' 30" East 10. 00 feet;
thence Northerly and parallel to the centerline of said CHURCH
STREET, 170. 00 feet to a point in the South line of that certain
tract of land described in deed to Eilen E. Goehring, et ux,
recorded in Volume 3242, page 26, Book of Official Records of
San Joaquin County; thence Westerly, along said South line, 532.49
feet to a point in said East right-of-way line of WEST LANE, said
point being on aforesaid City Limits line as described by said City
of Ladi Ordinance No. 901: thence Southerly, along said East right-
of-way line and City Limits line, 495. 53 feet to the point of beginning,
the -area thus described containing 6. 028 acres, more or less.
3. That the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Joaquin
County, California, did in session duly assembled on Friday, December 19,
1969 consider and approve the proposed annexation of said ''Robby's Addition, "
as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents
of said annexation.
4. That Wednesday, March 4, 1970, at the hour of 8:00 p. m, in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin,
California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person
owning real property within the uninhabited territory above described and
proposed to he annexed to the City of Lodi, and having any objections to the
proposed annexatioT� may appear before the Council of the City of Lodi and
show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to the
City of Lodi. The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time
before the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and
shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected
and the description and area of such property, in general terms.

S, The City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby authorized and
directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice,
but not oftener than once a week, in the "Lodi News Sentinel," a newspaper
of general circulation published in said City of Lodi, the city to which it is
proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, and also in the "Stockton Record,"
a newspaper of general circulation published outside the City of Lodi, but in the
County of San Joaquin, California, the county in which is located the territory
proposed to be annexed to the City of Ladi, and publication to be complete at least
twenty days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. The said City Clerk is further authorized and directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom
land within the territory proposed to be annexed was assessed in the last
equalized county assessment roll available on the date the above said proceedings
were initiated, at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to
said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the
designation of the lands in which he has an interest, either legal or equitable,
with said Clerk, such notice to be given not less than twenty days before the
first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
7. In the eventthere is, upon the land proposed to be annexed to said
City, a structural improvement -owned, being acquired or leased by a county
fire protection district, the City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of
such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such district,
such notice to be sent not less than ten days before the first public hearing
upon such proposed annexation.
B, The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to
such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner required
by law.
