HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 3250RESOLUTION NO. 3250 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI RECOMMENDING THAT THE GRADE SEPARATION AT KETTLEMAN LASE .k.ND THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD TRACKS BE COSSTRUCTED AS AN JNDERPASS, WHEREAS, a public hearing has been conducted by District 10, State Division of Highways, in the Lodi City Council Chambers, City Hall, on March 18, 1969; and WHEREAS, testimony was received at that time from City officials, representatives of various organizations, and citizens; and WHEREAS, such testimony was overwhelmingly in favor of the construction of said grade separation as an underpass; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi firmly believes that an underpass is more advantageous to the citizens this body represents, as well as others, from the standpoints of esthetics, traffic safety, noise level and disruption to the immediate surrounding residential area; and WHEREAS, the citizens of this City are participating in the realization of this project to the extent of $200,000 and by virtue of this significant participation this Council feels such a recommendation merits most earnest consideration; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that it be strongly recommended to the California State Highway Commission and State Division of Highways that the grade separation at Kettleman Lane and the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks be constructed as an underpass.
