HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 3247RESOLUTION NO. 3247 AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR MUTUAL DAY-TO-DAY FIRE PROTECTION AID AND DIRECTING EXECUTION THEREOF WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, the public safety and welfare require the entering into of an agreement for mutual day-to-day fire protection aid with each of the other incorporated cities within the County of San Joaquin, State of California, with each of the fire districts of the County of San Joaquin, State o1 California, and with each of the rural county fire protection districts of the County of San Joaquin, State of California, whereby each of the cities and districts shall render aid each to the other to combat fire when such aid is necessary on a day-to-day basis; and WHEREAS, the entering into of such agreement is authorized by the provisions of the "Joint Exercise of Powers Act," being sections 6500-6578, inclusive, of the Government Code: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that an agreement for mutual day-to-day fire protection aid be entered into as aforesaid by the City of Lodi and that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City the said Agreement for Mutual Day -to -Day Fire Protection Aid. Dated: March 5, 1969 I hereby certify that Resolution No. 3241 was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi at a regular meeting of said Council held March 5, 1969, by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen - Brown, Culbertson, Kirsten, Schaffer and Hunnell Noes: Councilmen - None Absent: Councilmen - None 3247
