RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF LODI OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED
HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "ST. PETER'S LUTHERAN ADDITION, "
AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
PROTESTS THERETO
Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of Lodi:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth
of the land in the hereinafter described territory, be area and by assessed
valuation as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San
Joaquin, was filed with the Council of the City of Lodi on August 17, 1966,
requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City.
Z. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to the
City of Lodi and which said City and its Council proposed to annex, is situate
in the County of San Joaquin, State of California, hereby designated "St. Peter's
Lutheran Addition, " and described as follows:
A portion of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 3
North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, and more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of the parcel of land annexed
to the City of Lodi as the "Knight Addition" as described in City of
Lodi Resolution No. 2708, which point is also the Northwest corner of
Lot I, TWIN OAKS WEST, as shown on map filed in Volume 17, page 70,
Book of Maps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records; thence Westerly
and parallel to the South line of said Section 3 a distance of 1280 feet,
more or less, to the East line of Lower Sacramento Road; thence
Southerly along said East line of Lower Sacramento Road„ which line
is 40 feet East of and parallel to the West line of said Southeast Quarter,
806. 33 feet; thence Easterly and parallel to the South line of said

Southeast Quarter, 1080 feet, more or less, to the Northwest corner
of the parcel of land conveyed to Vernon D. Kuhl and Marian Kuhl,
by deed recorded June 24, 1958, in Book 2077, page 568, Official
Records, San Joaquin County Records; thence Southerly along the
West line of said Kuhl parcel 100 feet to the Northwest corner of the
parcel of land annexed to the City of Lodi as the "Southern Baptist
Addition" as described in City of Lodi Ordinance No. 587; thence
Easterly along the North line of said "Southern Baptist Addition,"
being an existing City Limits line, 200 feet to the point of intersection
of the West line of the parcel of land annexed to the City of Lodi as
the "Benson Annex" as described in City of Lodi Ordinance No. 599:
thence Northerly along the West line of said "Benson Annex" 100 feet
to the Northwest corner thereof; thence continuing Northerly along the
West line of said "Knight Addition" 806. 33 feet to the point of begin-
ning; the area thus described containing 24.2 acres, more or less.
3. That the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Joaquin County,
California, did in session duly assembled on Friday, June 17, 1966, consider
and approve the proposed annexation of said "St. Peter's Lutheran Addition, 1°
as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents
of said annexation.
4. That Wednesday, October 5, 1966. at the hour of 8:00 p. m. , in
the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin,
California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person
owning real property within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed
to be annexed to the City of Lodi, and having any objections to the proposed
annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of Lodi and show cause

why such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to the City of Lodi.
The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set
for hearing objections to the proposed annexation and shall state the name
or names cf the owner or owners of property affected and the description and
area of such property, in general terms.
5. That the City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby authorized and
directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but
not oftener than once a week, in the Lodi News -Sentinel, a newspaper of general
circulation published in said City of Lodi, the city to which it is proposed to
annex the aforesaid territory, and also in the Stockton Record. a newspaper of
general circulation published outside the City of Lodi, but in the County of San
Joaquin, California, the county in which is located the territory proposed to
be annexed to the City of Lodi, said publication to be complete at least twenty
days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. That said City Clerk is further authorized and directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom
land within the territory proposed to be annexed was assessed in the last
equalized County assessment roll available on the date the above said proceedings
were initiated, at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to
said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the desig-
nation of the lands in which he has an interest, either legal or equitable, with
said Clerk, such notice to be given not less than twenty days before the public
hearing on the proposed annexation.
7. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be annexed to said
City a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a County
fire protection district, the City Clerk is directed to cause a written notice

of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing body of'.such district,
such notice to be sent not less than ten days before the public hearing on such
proposed annexation.
8. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to
such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner required
be law.
