RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ARTE'XATION TO THE

Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of Lodi:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Unin-
habited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not
less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter described terri-
tory, by area and by assessed valuation as shown on the last equalized
assessment roll of the County of San Joaquin, was filed with the
Council of the City of Lodi on July 6, 1966, requesting annexation
of the hereinafter described territory to said City.
2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed
to the City of Lodi and which said City and its Council propose to
annex, is situate in the County of San Joaquin, State of California,
hereby designated "Hom Addition," and described as follows:
A portion of Section 3, Township 3 North, Range 6 East,
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian and a portion of Section
10, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base
and weridian, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the North line of Lodi Avenue
(formerly known as Sargent Road), which point is also
the Northwest corner of the parcel of land annexed to
the City of Lodi as the "Western Addition," as described
in City of Lodi Ordinance No. 528; thence North 890 16'
West along the North line of Lodi Avenue ana its Westerly
extension, which line is 30 feet North of and parallel
to the South line of said Section 3, a distance of 389
feet to the West line of the Southeast Quarterof said
Section 3; thence South along the West line of said South-
east Quarter of Section 3, a distance of 10 feet to point
of intersection with the Easterly extension of the North
line of 40 foot wide Sargent Road; thence Westerly along

said Easterly extension and along said North line of
Sargent Road, which line is 20 feet North of and parallel
to the South line of said Section 3, a distance of 948.5
feet; thence South and parallel to the West Line of the
Northwest Quarter of said Section 10, a distance of 1340.7
feet to the South line of the North half of said Northvest
Quarter; thence Easterly along the South line of said
North half 677.5 feet; thence North and parallel to the
East line of said Northwest Quarter of Section 10, a
distance of 200 feet; thence Easterly and parallel to
the South line of said North half of the Northwest Quarter,
312 feet to the point of intersection with the East line
of Lower Sacramento Road (80 feet wide), being the West
line of the parcel of land annexed to the City of Lodi
as the "Westdale Addition" as described in City of Lodi
Ordinance No. 719; thence North along said East line of
Lower Sacramento Road, being along the West line of said
"Westdale Addition" and its Northerly extension, being
also an existing City Limits line, 757.65 feet to the
_ Orthwest corner of the parcel of land annexed to the
City of Lodi as the "Lobaugh Addition" as described in
City of Lodi Ordinance No. 705; thence South 890 16' East
along the North line of said "Lobaugh Addition," being
also an existing City Limits line, 349 feet to the West
line of said "Western Addition;" thence Forth along the
West l:ne of said "Western Addition," being also an existin-
City Limits line, 393 feet, more or less, to the point
of beginning; the area thus described containing 32.2
acres, more or less.
3• That the Local Agency Formation Co=ission of San Joaquin
County, California, did in session duly assembled on Friday,

June 17, 1966, consider and approve the proposed annexation of
said "Hom Addition," as above described, and as submitted to
said Co=l,ssion by the proponents of said annexation.
4. That Wednesday, August 17, 1966, at the hour of 8:00
p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Lodi, County of San Joaquin, California, is hereby fixed as the
time and place when and where any person owning real property
within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to
be annexed to the City of Lodi, and having any objections to
the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the
City of Lodi and show cause why such uninhabited territory should
not be so annexed to trie City of Lodi. The protest Inast be in
writing, nay be filed at any time before the hour set for hearjMg
objections to the proposed annexation and shall state the name
or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the
description and area of sect property, in general terns.
5. That the City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby authorizsd
and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published
at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the Lodi
News -Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation published in
said City of Lodi, the city to which it is proposed to annex the
aforesaid territory, and also in the Stockton Record, a newspaper
of general circulation published outside the City of Lodi, but
in the County of San Joaquin, California, the county in which is
located the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Lodi,
said publication to be complete at least twenty days prior to
the date set for hearing.
6. That said City Clerk is further authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed was assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll
available on the date the above said proceedings were initiated,

at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to said
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address
and the designation of the lands in which he has an interest,
either legal or equitable, with said Clerk, such notice to be
given not less than twenty days before the public hearing on
the proposed annexation.
7. In the e7ent there is, upon the land proposed to be
annexed to said City a structural improvement owned, being
acquired or leased by a County fire protection district, the
City Clerk is directed to cause a written notice of such proposed
annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such district,
such notice to be sent not less than ten days before the public
hearing on such proposed annexation.
8. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to
be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto,
in the manner required by law.
