That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 3939, a petition signed by owners of all of the land in the hereinafter described territory, by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Joaquin, was filed with the Council of the City of Lodi on July 6, 1966, requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City. 2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to the City of Lodi and which said City and its Council propose to annex, is situate in the County of San Joaquin, State of California, hereby designated "Vogel Addition," and described as follows: A portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 7, Town- ship 3 North, Range 7 Last, Mount Diablo 3ase and Meridian, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Northeast Quarter, said point being also a corner of the existing City Limits; thence EastetLy along the South line of said Northeast Quarter to the Southeast corner thereof; thence Northerly along the East line of said Northeast Quarterto the North line of the South one-half (S-0 of said Northeast one-quarter of Section 7, being the North line of the parcel of land conveyed as PARCEL IV to Hoyt Heater Company, by deed recorded May 12, 1965 in Book 29�4, Page 52, Official Records, San Joaquin County Records; thence Westerly along said North line of the South one-half (Sf) of the Northeast 1. one-quarter (NE*) of Section 7, being along the North line of said PARCEL Pl and along the North line of PARCEL 11 of said deed to Hoyt Heater Company to the Northeast corner of the parcel of land conveyed to Norman Gertmenian, et ax, by deed recorded March 26, 1948 in Volume 1133, ?age 88, Official Records, San Joaquin County Records; thence South along the East line of said Gertmenian parcel 396.8 feet; thence South 860 441 East, 19 feet; thence South 189.7 feet to the North line of the tract of land annexed to the City of Lodi as the "Lone Oak Addi- tion," described in City of Lodi Ordinance No 796; thence Easterly along the North line of said 'Lone Oak Addition" to the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southerly along the East line of said "Lone Oak Addition" to the point of beginning; the area thus described containing 56.9 acres, more or less. 3. That the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Joaquin County, California, did in session duly assembled on Friday, Decem- ber 17, 1965, consider and approve the proposed annexation to the City of Lodi of said "Vogel Addition," as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents of said annexation. 4. That Wednesday, July 20, 1966, at the hour of 8 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning real property within the City, but not owning real property within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Lodi, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of Lodi and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to the City of Lodi. The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the pro- posed annexation, and shall state the name or names o- the owner 2. or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property, in general terms. $. The City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least once in the "Lodi News Sentinel," a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Lodi, the city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, said publica- tion to be complete at least four days prior to the date set for hearing. Dated: July 6, 1966 I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in regular meeting held July 6, 1966, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Brown, Culbertson, Hunnell, Kirsten and Walton.
