HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2875RESOLUTION NO. 2875 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AiTHEXATION OF CERTAIiq UNINHABITED TMRITORY I DESIGNATED "RUTLEDGE f-LDITION," TO TIHE-� CITY OF L00I BE IT RB50LVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi: W SRS�.S, pursuant to the provisions of the �.nnexation of Uninhabited Territory Fact of 1939, a petition signed by all the owners of certain uninhabited territory was filed with the Council of the City of Lodi oil October 6, 1965, requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi; and WHEREAS, on the 6th day of October, 1965, the City Council of the City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2866 giving notice of the proposal to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as '"Rutledge Addition," said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2866 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the City of Lodi but not owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not more than thirty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and WHERNA.S, said Resolution was duly published in accordance with law; and WHEREAS, on the 20th day of October, 1965, at the hour of 8;00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution ido. 2865 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did conduct said hearing and did determine that no protests to said annexation had been made: and 4+NEREASp said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin; NOW, 114ERF.FORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of San Joaquin. State of California, more particularly described as follows: A portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, ylount Diablo Base and Meridian, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the i Qxtli line of said Section 3, said point being the Northwest corner of the parcel of land annexed to the City or Lodi as the "General itiiills Addition," as described in City of Lodi Ordinance No. 578; thence South 00 02'-21 Last along the t ]est line of said "General M i 11 s Addition," being also a City Limit line, 1177.4 feet to the 'forth line of the parcel of land annexed to the City of Lodi as the "Erich Addition," as described in City of Lodi Ordinance No. 745; thence Westerly along the North line of said "Erich Addition," being also a City Limit line, 1016.1 feet to the East line of Sacramento Road, which line is 40 feet Bast of the West line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 3; thence Northerly along said East line of Sacramento Road, 1207.5 feet to the North line of said Northeast Quarter of Section 3; thence South 890 44' East along the North line of said Northeast Quarter, 1015.6 feet to the point of beginning; the area thus described containing 27.8 acres more or less. Dated: October 20, 1965 I hereby certify that Resolution No. 2875 was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in resulax meeting held October 20, 1965, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen - BROW, CULBER;S411, M -J.
