DECLARING THE INTENTION CF THE CITY COUNCIL
CF THE CITY CF LODI TO VACATE PLEASANT AVHNLE
BETWEEN PINE STREET AND ELM STREET AND PORTIONS
OF ABETS ADJACENT THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi
as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Lodi, acting in accordance with the provisions of
Section 8300 et seq of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, to vacate, close, and abandon as public
streets the following portion of Pleasant Avenue and portions
of alleys adjacent thereto situate in the City of Lodi, County
of San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly described
as follows, to wit:
PARCEL I - That portion of Pleasant Avenue lying
between the North line of Pine Street and the South
line of Elm Street as shown on that certain map
entitled "Mokeiumne" filed August 25, 1869 in
Volume 2, page 12, Official Maps and Plats, San
Joaquin County Records.
PARCEL IT - The West 200 feet of the alley between
Pine Street and Elm Street and bounded by Ch=ch
Street and Pleasant Avenue and as shown in Block
3 on that certain map entitled "Mokeiumne" filed
Angnst 25, 1869 in Volume 2, page 12, Official Maps
and Plats, San Joaquin County Records.
PARCEL III - The East 60 feet of the alley between
Pine Street and Elm Street and bounded by Pleasant
Avenue and Lee Avenue and as shown in Block 2 on
that certain map of "West Lodi" filed for record
September 10, 1904 in Volume 3, page 25, Official
Maps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records.

Reference is hereby made to a wrap or Alan on file in the Office
of the City Clerk for particulars as to the proposed vacation.
Section 2. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that this Cit9 CDUaci1
does hereby fix Wednesday, October 6, 1965, at the hour of
8:00 o'clock p.m. and the City Council Chambers, City Hall,
Lodi, California, as the time and place when and where all
persons interested in or objecting to the vacation herein
proposed may appear before this City Council and be heard.
Section 3. Upon adoption of this resolution the Director
of Public Works shall post, or cause to be posted, notice of
such passage and of the time and place set herein for public
hearing, in accordance with and in time, form and manner as
prescribed by law for the vacation of streets.
Section 4. This resolution shall be published one time
in the Lodi News -Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City of Lodi, said publication
to be completed at least fifteen days prior to said hearing.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 2864 was passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in
regular meeting thereof held on September 15, 1965, by
the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen ' Brown, Culbertson, Dow, Walton and
Kirsten
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen _ None
