RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION M

Be It Resolved By the Council of the City of Lodi:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the fnnexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than one-
fourth of the land in the hereinafter described territory. by area and
by assessed valuation as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of
the County of San Joaquin, was filed with the Council of the City of
Lodi on July 7, 1965, requesting annexation of the hereinafter described
territory to said City.
2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to
the City of Lodi and which said City and its Council propose to annex,
is situate in the County of San Joaquin, State of California, hereby
designated "Lone Oak Addition," and described as follows:
A portion of the North 1/2 of Section 7, Township 3 North,
Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, and .more particu-
larly described as Zollows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Northeast Quarter
of said Section 7, said p in t being also a corner of the existing
City Limits; thence Easterly along the South line of said Northeast
Quarter to the intersection of the same with the East line of the
Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 7;
thence Northerly along said East line to the Northeast corner of
the parcel of land conveyed to Hazel O. Houston by decree of final
distribution recorded on November 10, 1947 in Volume 1068, page
411, Official Records, San Joaquin County Records; thence Westerly
along the North line of said Houston parcel to the Northeast
Corner of the parcel of land deeded to Corinne Howe Bryce by deed
recorded July 20, 1960 in Volume 2320, page 120, Official Records,
San Joaquin Records; thence continuing Westerly, along the North
line of said Bryce parcel 886.38 feet, more or less, to the
Northeast ccrner of the parcel of land deeded to J. R. Hale by
deed recorded in Volume 956, page 217, Official Records, San
Joaquin County Records; thence Southerly along the East line of
said Hale parcel, being also an existing City Limit line, 734.8
feet, more or less, to the intersection of the same With the South
line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 7; thence Easterly
along said South line of the Northwest Quarter, being also an
existing City Limit line, 868 feet, more or less, to the p in t of
beginning; the area thus described containing 37 acres, more or
less.
3. That the County Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County,
California, did in session duly assembled on Tuesday, May 11, 1965,
consider and approved the proposed annexation boundaries of said "Lane
Oak Addition," as above described, and as submitted to said Commission
by the proponents of said annexation.
4* That the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Joaquin County,
California, did in session duly assembled on Friday, June 18, 1965,
consider and approve the proposed annexation of said 'Zone Oak Addition,"
as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents
of said annexation.
5. That Wednesday, August 18, 1965, at the hour of 8:00 p.m., in
the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Lodi, County of
San Joaquin, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when
and vvhere any person owning real property within the uninhabited
territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of
Lodi, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, :ay appear
before the Council of the City of Lodi and show cause why such unin-
habited territory should not be so annexed to the City of Lodi. The
protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour
set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state
the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the
description and area of such property, in general terms.
6. That the City Clerk of the City of l...odi is hereby authorized
and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least
twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the Lodi News -Sentinel, a
newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Lodi, the
city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, and also
in the Stockton Racord, a newspaper of general circulation published
outside the City of Lodi, but in the County of San Joaquin, California,
the county in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to
the City of Lodi, said publication to he complete at least twenty (20)
days prior to the date set for hearing.
7. That said City Clerk is further authorized and directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each
person to wham land within the territory proposed to be annexed was
assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll available oa the
date the above said proceedings were initiated, at the addresses show
on said assessment roll or known to said Clerk, and to any person who
has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which
he has an interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk, such
notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the public
hearing on the proposed annexation.
8. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be annexed to
said City a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a
County fire protection district, the City Clerk is directed to cause a
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing
body of such district, such notice to be sent not less than ten (10)
days before the public hearing on such proposed annexation.
9. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given
to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the
manner required by law.
