HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2793RESOLUTION NO. 2793 A MS OLU1'ION APPROVING "IM AXIW7 TION OF CERTAIN UNIMIABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "SOUTH SANGUINETTI ADDITION,- TO THE CITY Or L OD I BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi: WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by all the owners of certain uninhabited territory was filed with the Council of the City of Lodi on February 3, 1965, requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi; and Wh-EREAS, on t to 3rd day of February, 1965, the City Council of the City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution io. 2790 giving; notice of the proposal to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as "South Sanguinetti Addition," said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and L-EEREAS, said Resolution Na 2790 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City of Lodi would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the City of Lodi but not owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not more than thirty days from the date of passage of said Reso- lation; and WHEP.EAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance with law; and WHEREAS, on the 17th day of February, 1965, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City iiall of the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution ;40- 2790 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did conduct said hearing and did determine that no protests to said annexation had been made; and 1. WHEREdSs said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin; NOW, T19-F:ZFRRs, the said Council of the City of Lodi does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des- cribed to the City of Lodi, ana does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and 13 hereby annexed to tha City of Lodi. what said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly described as follows: portion of the Northwest Quarter of Section 1, Town- ship 3 ;Iortti, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and 'ferldian, and a portion of the Southwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 4 North, Range 6 Last, .count Dlablo Base and .Meridian, and More particularly described as follows: 3egi.rnning at the Northeast corner of Lot 23, 310ck 1, Sanguinetti Addition, as filed for record on April 8, 1919, in Volume 91 page 47, Book of "laps, San Joaquin County Records, said point being also a corner of the Nodi City Limits; thence 'wast along the South line of Turner Road, also a City Limit line, 280.8 feet to the Southwest corner of said Turner Road and Sacramento Street, as said Road and Street are shown on said wrap of Sanguinetti Addition; thence Southerly along the west line of said Sacr4Mento Street, also a City Boundary, 790 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of Lot 14, Block 2, of said Sanguinetti Addition, which point is on the South line of Louie Avenue(60 feet wide);, thence Westerly along said South line of Louie Avenue, a City Limit line, 791.28 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the East line of Church Street(60 feet wide); thence Northerly along the 2. Northerly projection of said East line of Church Street, also a City Limit line, 853.85 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the North line of Turner Roads which point is also the Northeast corner of the parcel of lend annexed to the City of Lodi as the "Thirteenth Addition," as des- cribed in City of Lodi Ordinance No. 264; thence East along said North line of Turner Road 598.90 feet to the Southwest corner of the parcel of land described in deed to the City of Lodi, recorded in Book 2364, page 451, Official Records of San Joaquin County; thence North 20 00' East along the East line of said parcel 4.75 feet; thence 'nest along the North line of said parcel j00.96 feet to its intersection with the Westerly line of the 100 foot right of xray of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, thence i<,�rtherly along the Westerly line of said Railroad right of way along a curve concave to the West having a radius of 5679.6 feet, through en angle of 0o 091, a distance of 15.03 feet to the Northwest corner of the parcel of land described in Agreement with the City of Lodi recorded in Hook 2334, page 421, Official Records of San Joaquin County; thence East and parallel to the South line of said Section 36, a distance of 100.2 feet to the East line of said Railroad right of way; thence Southerly along s curve concave'to the blest having a radius of 5779.6 fee:, through an angle of 00 30', a distance of 49.85 feet to the point of inter- section of the same with the South line of said section 36, said point being a corner of the existing City Limits; thence West along said Section line, being the existing City Limits line, a distance of 100.22 feet to a point, which point is also the Northvest corner of the tract of land annexed to the City of Lodi as the "Laurence Ranch Addition," described 3. p in City of Lodi Ordinance No. 1+71; thence Southerly along the Wcst line of said "Lawrence Ranch Addition" 30.06 feet to the point of beglan ng; the area thus described contain- ing 16.3 acres, more or less.
