HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2708RESOLUiI0N m. 2708 A RESOLUITON APPROVING ME ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UiliNHEITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "KNIGHT ADOITION," 10 ME CITY OF LODI BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi: WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of l93q, a petition signed by all the owners of certain uninhabited territory was filed with the Council of the City of Lodi on March 4, 1964, requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi; and WHEREAS, on the 4th day Of ()larch, 1964, the City Council of the City of Lodi did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2702 giving notice of the proposal to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Lodi, said territory being therein designated as "Knight Addition," said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2702 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the City of Lodi but not owming real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not more than thirty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published in accordance with law; and l4HER:AS, on the Lath day of Watch, 1964, at the hour of 8104 p.m, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2702 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did conduct said hearing and did determine that no protests to said annexation had been made; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin; NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Lodi does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Lodi, and does hereby further resolve that the said terri- tory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Lodi is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of San Joaquin, State of California, more particularly described as follows A portion of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, I~[ount Oiablo Base and Meridian, San Joaquin County, California, and more particu- larly described as follows: - 2 j -%GAY Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southeast ti.uarter of Section 3; thence Northerly along the East line of said Quarter 306 1/3 feet to the true point of beginning; thence tlesterly along a line parallel with the South line of said Quarter, which line is also a boundary line of the City of Lodi, 1320 feet to the West line of the cast half of the Southeast Cuarter; thence Northerly along the said blest line 1613 feet, more or less, to a line which is parallel to and 233 feet South of the North line of said Cuarter; thence Easterly along said line 660 feet to a line parallel to and 660 feet nest of the East line of said ;;uarter; thence Southerly along said line, also a City boundary, 808 feet to a line parallel to and 1612 2/3 feet North of the South line of said Quarter; thence Easterly along said line, also a City toundary, 660 feet to the East line of said Quarter; thence Southerly along the East line of said Quarter 806 1/3 feet to the ttue point of beginning; the property thus described containing 36.6 acres, more az less.
