RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE CF PROPOSER ANNEXATION
TO CITY OF LODI OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED
HII2IIN AND DESIGNATED "NORTHRIDGE ADDITION," AND
GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR BFARIlVG OF
PROTESTS THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUDI:
1_ That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory let of 1939, a petition signed by owners
of all of the land in the hereinafter described territory, by
area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assess-
ment roll of the County of San Joaquin, was filed with the Council
of the City of Lodi on June 5, 1963, requesting annexation of
the hereinafter described territory to said City.
2. That the territory wbieh tkie petitioners rcyu-st be gain exed
to the City of Lodi and which said City and its Council propose
to annex, is situate in the County of San Joaquin, State of Cali-
fornia, hereby designated "Northridge Addition," and described as
fol lows :

oribed as follows:
Begiuning at a ourxi,-_r of the present City Liiuits of
the City of Lodi, which point is the Nortneast corner of
Lot 6, Lawrence Homestead Addition, as filed for record
on April 5, 1920 in Volume 10, page 5, Book of Maps and
Plats, San Joaquin County Records; thence North 890 00'
West along the North line of said Lot 6 a distance of
2Y4.05 feet to a point; thenoe South 40 461 West a dis-
tance of 416.56 feet to a point; thence South 85° 14,
East a distance of 61 feet to a point; thence South 4Q
46' West a distance of 91 feet to a point; thence Norti,

85° 141 West a distance of 61 feet to a point; thence
South 40 46' West a distance of 57 feet to a point;
thence North 85° 14' West a distance of 71.3 feet
to a point; thence South 4o 42' West a distance of
601 feet to the South line of Lot 18, Lawrence Home-
stead Addition, which line is also a boundary line of
the City of Lodi; thence Suuth 890 06' East along the
South liiz of Lot 18 a distance of 366.22 fret to the
East line of Lot 18, which line is the center line of
Stockton Street and is also a City Boundary Line; thence
North 40 421 East along the East lines of Lots 18, 7, 6,
Lawrence Homestead Addition a distance of 1160.2 foet
to the Northeast corner of Lot 6, which is the point of
beginning; the area thus described containing 8.8 acres.
3. That the County Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County,
California, did in session duly assembled on Tuesday, May 21, 1963,
consider and approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said
"Northridge Addition," as above described, and as submitted to
said Corawission by the proponents of said Annexation.
4. That Wddnusday, July 17, 1963, at the hour of b.OU p.m.,
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in thu City of Ludi, County
of San Joaquin, Caliiorrlia, is Hereby fixed as the time and place
when and where any person owning real property within ttie uninhabited
territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of
LQdia and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may 4pptar
before the Council of the City of Lodi and show cause why such unin-
habited territory should not b�-, so annexed to the City of Lodi. The
protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time b,,fore the i our
set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall
state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected
and the description and area of such property, in general terms.

5. The City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby authorized
and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published
at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the Lodi News
Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation published in said
City of Lodi, the city to which it is proposed to annex the afore-
said territory, said publication to be complete at least twenty
days prior to the date set for hearing.

to each person to whoa land within the territory proposed to be
annexed was assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll

Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of the lands in which tie has an interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk, such notice to be given not

leased by a county fire protection district, the City Clerk is
directed Lo cause written notice of such proposed to
be mailed to the governing body of such district, such notice. to
be sent not leaa than ten days before the first public hearing
upon such proposed annexation.
8. The City Clerk is directed t u cause written i4otiee to be
given to sacta other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in
the manner required by law.
