That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners L4' not less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter described territory, by area dnd by assessed value as shown on the last etlua.tizad assessment roll of the County of San Joaquin, was filed with the Council of the City of Lodi on September 5, 1962, requesting annexa- tion of thw hereinafter described territory to said City. 2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to the City of Lodi and which said City and its Cucancll propose to annex, is situwte in the County of San Joaquin, State of Califoi..nia, hereby designated "Ginocchio Addition," and described as follows: A portion of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, and mora partieulariy described as follows: Beginning at Lhe Northeast corner of Lot 20, Gerare Tract Subdivision, as filed for record on August ti, 1916, in Volume 8, Page 62, Book of Maps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records, which point is also a corner of the present boundary line oz' the City or Lodi; thence Southerly 196.83 feet along the East line of said Lot 20, this line also being a boundary line of the City of Lodi to its intersection with the South line of Lot LO; thence Westerly 442.8 feet along the South line of Lot 20 to its intersection with the center- line of Lorna Drive, previously known as Lockeford Avenue; thence southerly along the centerline of Lara Drive 12 feet to a corner of the City boundary; thence Westerly 30 feet along a line 12 feet South of and parallel to the 5quth line of Lot 19, Gerard Tract, to the West line of Loma Drive; 1. thence Northerly 208.83 feet along the West line of Lana. Drive, also a City boundary, to the South line of Lot 18, Gerard Tract; thence Westerly 621.9 feet along the South line of said Lot 18 to the Southwest corner of Lot 18, which point i s in the centerline of Mills Avenue; thence Southerly 665.42 feet along the centerline of Mills Avenue, also a City boundary line, to a point which is 7+3.3 feet Northerly from the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian; thence Westerly 30 feet to an existing earner of the City Limit line, which point is in the West line of Mills Avenue; thence Northerly 862.25 feet along the West line of Mills Avenue, also a City Limit line, t the extended South line of Lot 7, Gerard Tract; thence East- erly 30 feet along the said extended South line of Lot 7 to the centerline of Mills Avenue; thence Northerly 196.83 feet, along the centerline of Mills Avenue, which line is the West line of Lot 7 and also a City boundary line, to the Northwest corner of Lot 7; thencr Easterly 618.3 feet dong the North line or Lut 7, also a City boundhry line, to the West line of' Lana Drive; thence Southerly 196.83 feat along the West 1 of Liana Drive, a City Limit line, to the North line of Lot 18, Gerard Tract; thence Easterly 30 feet along the North line of said Lot 18 to the Northeast corner of Lot 18 on the centerline of said Lana Drive, which point is dl.so a corner Of the City boundary line; theueo Southerly 190.83 feet aQsig tha East line of Lot 18, which said East line is also the centerline of Loam Drive, to a corner of the City boundary; thence Easterly 221.4 feet along a line 6 feat North of and parallel to the North line of Lot 20, Gerard Tract, to a cor- ner of the City boundary line; thence Southerly 6 feet along the City boundary line to its intersection with the North 2. line of Lot 20; thence Easterly 221.4 feet along the North line of Lot 20 to the point of beginning; the area thus described containing 8.50 acres, more or less. 3. That the County Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County, California, did in session duly assembled on Tuesday, September 1+, 1962, consider and approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said "Ginacchio Addition," as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents of said annexation. 4. That Wednesday, October 17, 1962, at the hour of 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited territory above described arid proposed to be aiuiexed to the City of Lodi, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of Lodi and show cause why such unin- habited territory should not be so annexed to the City of Lodi. The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to 'ens proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property, in general terms. 5. The City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby authorized arid directed to cause a copy of this revolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the Lodi News -Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Lodi, the city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, and also in the S'toektou Record, a newspaper of general ciroulatiou published outside the Clty of Lodi, but in the County of San Joaquin, California, the county in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Lodi, said publication to be complete at least twenty (20) days primr to the date set for hearing. 3. 6. The said City Clerk is further authorized and directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed was assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date the above said proceedings were initiated, at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has an interest, either legal ur equitable, with said Clerk, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days befora the first public hearing on the proposed annexation. 7. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to ae azintixeci to said City, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leasaci by a county Wird protection district, the City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such distriet, such notice to be sent not lass than ten (10) days before the first public hearing upon such proposed an- nexation. 8. Tile City Clark is directed to cause writcert râ–ºotiae to bra given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner required by law.
