RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSEL ANNEXATION
TO CITY OF LODI aF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED
Ha2EIN AND DESKNATED "SCHEPPLER ADDITION," AND
GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PRO-
TESTS THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED BY TM COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners
of not less than one-fourth of the Land in the hereinafter des-
cribed territory, by area and by assessed value as shown on the
last equalized assessment roll of the Cowity of San Joaquin,
was filed with the Council of the City of Lodi on June 20, 1962,
requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory to
said City.

annexed to the City of Lodi and which said City and its Council
propose to anni:x, is situate in the County of Sdn Joaquin, State
of California, hereby designated "Scheppler Addition," dnd des-
cribed as follows:
A portion w: the e.dst half of Sectiuii 11s 'Town-
ship 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian, San Joaquin County, California, and more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of the
East half of Section 11, Township 3 North, Range 6
East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, which point
is 5.8 feet south of the southwest corner of the North-
east Quarter of said Section; thence northerly 392.18
feet along the West line of said East half of Section
11, this line being also a boundary line of the City
of Lodi, to a corner of the City Limits; thence east-
erly 717.33 feet along a line parallel to the South

line of said Northeast quarter, this line also a
City Limit Line, to the East line of Fairmont Avenue;
thence South 00 10' West a distance of 386.38 feet
along the East line of Fairmont Avenue, also a City
Limit Line, to the South line of said Northeast
Quarter; thence South 89° 07' East a distance of
2.67 feet along the South line of said Northeast
Quarter, also a City Limit Line, to a point; thence
South 00 10' West a distance of 2643.6 feet along
the East line of Fairmont Avenue, also a City Limit
Line, to the South line of Section 11; thence North
890 07+' West along the South line of Section 11 a
distance of 6o feet to the extended West line of
Fairmont Avenue; thence North 00 10' East a distance
of 2639.2 feet along the West line of Fairmont Avenue,
also a City Limit Urie, to a corner of the Lodi City
Limits, which is 4.4 feet south of the South line of
the Northeast Quarter of Section 11; thence North 890
14' West a distance of 660 feet to tLe point of begin-
ning; ttzt;area thus described curtaining 10.0 awes,
more or lass.
3. That the Cuu,uty Boundary Cva=ission u1' Sari Joaquin
County, C:alifurnia, did in session duly assembled on Tuesday,
November 14, 1961, consider and approve the proposed annexa-
tion boundaries of said "Ocheppl.er Addition," as above des-
cribed, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents
of said annexation.
1+• That Wednesday, August 15, 1962, at the Maur of 6.00
p.m., in the Council Charubers in the City Hall in the City of
Lodi, County of San Joaquin, California, is hereby fixed as
the time and place when and where any person owning real pro-
perty within the uninhabited territory above described and

proposed to be annexed to the City of Lodi, and having any
objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the
Council of the City of Lodi and show cause why such Lminhabited
territory should not be so annexed to the City of Lodi. The
protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before
the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation,
and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of
property affected and the description and area of such property,
in general term.
5. The City Clerk of the City of Lodi is tsarmby author-
ized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be
published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week,
in the "Lodi News -Sentinel," a newspaper of general eireulatiori
published in said City of Lodi, the city to which it is pro-
posed to annex the aforesaid territory, and also in the ",Stockton
Record," a newspaper of general circulation published outside
the City of Lodi, but in the County of San Joaquin, California,
the county in which is locattd the territory proposad to be
annexed to the City of Lodi, said publication to be complete dt
least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing.

roll available on the date the above said proceedings were ini-
tiated, at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known
to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and
address and the designation of the lands in which he has an
interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk, such
notice to be given not less than twelity (20) days befure the
first public hearing on the proposed aw,exatioa.

7. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be
aanexed to said City, a structural improvement owned, being
acquired or leased by a county fire protection district, the
City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed
annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such district,
such notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before the
first public hearing upon such proposed annexation.
8. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to
be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto,
in the manner required by law.
