HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2512RESOLUTION NO. 2512 AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT AND GRANT OF-ELECTRIG TRANSMISSION LINE EASEMENT IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP 3 NORTH, RANGE 5 EAST, TO THE UNITED STATES CF AMERICA Wl iEAS the United States of America, through the Depart- ment of the tntarlor, Bureau of Reclamation, desires to purchase from the City of Lodi, for the sum of Two Thousand Seventy-five Dollars ($2,075.00) an electric transmission line easement in a portion of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 3 North, Range 5 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, for the development of the Central Valley Project; and WHEREAS, the United State of America has submitted to the City Council of the City of Lodi a proposed ;Contract and Grant of Electric Transmission Dins Easement covering the here- inafter described real property; NOW, 11-irxr1-cuxr, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi as follows: 1. That the City of Lodi sell to the United States of America the transmission line easement in the hereinafter des- cribed parcel of real property fQr the sum of Two Thousand Seventy-five Dollars ($2,075.00), lawful money of the United States. 2. That the Mayor of the City of Lodi be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to sign the said Contract and Grant of Electric Transmission Line Easement for and in behalf of the City of Lodi and the City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby authorized and directed to attest to the Mayor's signature thereto. 3. That the real property herein referred to is located and situated in the County of San Joaquin, State of California, and more particularly described as follows, to wit: A strip or tract of land in the Southeast Quarter us' $action 231 Township 3 North, Range 5 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, containingan area of 8.1 acres, more or less, and described as ollows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the surveyed location line with the southerly boundary of Parcel Two (a) of that certain property conveyed to Red House Ranch- ing Company by deed dated November 3, 1949, and recorded in Book 1220 of the Official Records of San Joaquin County at page 210, distant along the surveyed location line the following consecutive courses and distances from a point on the north line of Section 14 of said Township and Range that is distant therealong North 89° 30' 51" East 1470.0 feet frog the northwest corner of said Section ]04: South 7 59' 26" East 3416.8 feet, and South 24 28' 26" East 5034.9 feet; thence from said Pontaiof beginning along said southerly boundary North 9° 36' 35" East 6,8. fe t; thence leaving, said northerly boundary South 24° 28' 2b" East 2845.0 feet to a pont 1. on the south line of saig Section 23; thence along said south line South 89 36' 35" West 68.5 feet to a point on the surveyed ],ovation line, distant along said south line South 89 36' 35" West 133.5 Peet from the southeast corner of said Section }; thence con- tinuing along said south line South 89" 36' 35" West 68.5 feet• thence leaving said south line North 240 28' 26" VWest 2760.1 feet to a point on the west line of the east half of the southeast quarter of said Section 23. thence along said west line North 0° 32' 55N West 77.5 feet to a point on the southerly boundary of said Red House Ranching property; thence leaving said west line along said southerly boundary North 89° 36' 35" East 34.1 feet to the point of beginning.
