HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2005-62WHEREAS, in answer to proposals by staff for Public Works 800 MHz radio transmission service, three proposals were received from local providers that have towers that serve the Lodi area; and WHEREAS, said proposals have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as fellows; WHEREAS, staff recommends LaRue Communications due to the overall cost of operation, the fact there is virtually no equipment to buy and no installation cost, and the company's reputation. The proposals were based on 77 radios. The updated radio inventory resulted in a total of 81 units. This results in a monthly fee for repeater use of $810 and a monthly fee for a service agreement of $405 for an annual cost of $14,580, and WHEREAS, staff further recommends that the City Manager be authorized to execute a five-year contract for Public Works 800 MHz radio transmission service with LaRue Communications, Inc., of Stockton, California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute a five-year contract for Public Works 800 MHz radio transmission service with LaRue Communications, Inc., of Stockton, California, in the amount of $14,580 annually.
