MEETING DATE: March 6, 1996

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council conduct the Public Meeting on the Central City
Revitalization Assessment District and take no action.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: State law governing formation of this Assessment District requires
two formal opportunities for public input in front of the City Council.
The first, this Public Meeting, is for input and discussion only; no
action is to be taken. Also, Michael Freedman is scheduled to
make a short presentation.
The second meeting, the Public Hearing, has already been set for a special Council meeting on
April 10, 1996. At that time, the Council will be asked to close the protest period and make a decision
on the Assessment District.
FUNDING: None required at this time.
