MEETING DATE: March 6, 1996

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract
for the above project to E. F.G.C. Construction, of Stockton, in the amount
of $99,990 and appropriate funds in accordance with the recommendation
shown below.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of furnishing and installing handicap ramps,
ornamental ironwork, landscaping, and other incidental and related
work as shown on the plans and specifications for the project.
Plans and specifications for this project were approved on February 7, 1996. The City received the
following five bids for this project:

A RESOLUTION OF THE NODI CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CITY HALL ENTRY PROJECT
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of
this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on March 1, 1996 at 11:00 a.m.
for the bid for the City Hall Entry Project, described in the specifications therefore approved by the
City Council on February 7, 1996 and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof
filed with the City Manager as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the contract for the City Hall Entry
Project, be made to the low bidder, E.F.G.C. Construction, Stockton, CA; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the
contract for the City Hall Entry Project, be and the same is hereby awarded to E.F.G.C.
Construction of Stockton, CA, the low bidder, in the amount of $99,990.00.
