HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 82-119RESOLUTION NO. 82-119 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI URGING REPEAL OF THE DAVIS-BROWN ACT WHEREAS, the Davis -Brown Act is a 50 year old law which causes enormous waste of local tax resources by requiring federally established prevailing wages on all public construction of which any part is funded by federal funds. WHEREAS, the repeal of the Davis -Brown Act will save the taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars each year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby urge the repeal of the Davis -Brown Act thereby returning to responsible local government officials the power to make those policy decisions about the use of local tax dollars even when federal funding is involved.
