Lodi City Council Update
Wednesday, February 7,1996
HOME PAGE:
We are pleased to announce that the City of Lodi has a Home Page on the World Wide Web!
CONTENTS:
At the direction of the City Council, the Information Superhighway Task Force has created a presence on
the Internet to provide an electronic information center for our community and the world. People
interested in learning more about Lodi can get information on Government, Business, Education, a
Calendar of Events, and much more. The contents of the Home Page will continue to change to reflect the
needs of the community which it serves. To the best of our knowledge, we believe this to be the first
municipally sponsored Home Page in the county.
ACCESS:
The Home Page can be accessed at the address on http://www.lodl.gov
FUTURE:
In addition to changing to respond to community needs, the Task Force will be working on the following
items:
o E -Mail for City Council members
o getting more information from various City Departments
o Electronic Forms (E -Forms) for various City Departments
CREDITS:
I would like to acknowledge the Task Force members and thank them for their efforts over the past year:
Steve Mann / Mark White / John Forberg / Dave Tracewell / Ken Jones / Scott Dockery / Stan Helmle
CONCLUSION:
In conclusion, we realize that we have only taken the first step into the Information Age. We will attempt
to continue to keep Lodi prepared for developments in this area that would be beneficial to the community.
