RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH
THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN IN CONNECTION WITH THE 1978
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the
City of Lodi in San Joaquin County on March 7, 1978: and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to make use of certain services,
facilities and equipment of the Registration -Election Division of the
Office of the County Clerk of the County of San Joaquin and to pay
the County for the cost thereof pursuant to the provisions of Section
22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of
Lodi of San Joaquin County enter into an agreement with the County
of San Joaquin providing for the furnishing by the Registration -Elec-
tion Division of the Office of the County Clerk of the County of San
Joaquin of the following services:
(a) Furnish the governing body of the City, upon request
of the City Clerk, with as many copies as may be
needed of the index of registration for each precinct
contained in whole or part within the area embraced
by the City of Lodi up to and including thirty (30) days
prior to the election.
(b) Furnish maps showing all precincts embraced in
whole or part by the City of Lodi.
(c) Address and mail envelopes containing polling place
cards, sample ballots and any other matter pertaining
to said election.
(d) Prepare list of number of registered voters in each
precinct.
(e) Prepare index to precinct consolidations as to polling
places .
(f) Consolidate precinct books of Affidavits of Registration,
envelopes for sample ballots, and registration data for
official ballots.

(g) Check and package official ballots for consolidated
precincts.
(h) Package election supplies for delivery to precinct
inspectors, it being understood the City will arrange
for delivery of same.
(i) Provide for delivery and return of election booths,
ballot boxes, chairs, tables, etc. to polling places,
it being understood that delivery and return will be
made by the City.
(jJ Perform such other services as may be required by
the City Clerk.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Lodi shall pay the
County of San Joaquin the actual cost of service rendered plus ten
per cent.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the
City of Lodi of San Joaquin County.

a regular meeting held November 2, 1977 by the
