AWARD - CONTRACT FOR SCARBOROUGH DRIVE
STORM DRAIN, CENTURY BOULEVARD TO 380'
NORTH OF CHENIN BLANC DRIVE.
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accor-
dance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were
received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of this City on
September 27, 1977 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for Scarborough
Drive Storm Drain, Century Boulevard to 380' North of Chenin
Blanc Drive, as described in the specifications therefor approved
by the City Council September 7, 1977; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and
tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager shown on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and thereby made a part hereof.
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award be
made to the low bidder, Walker Construction Co. ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Lodi that award of contract for Contract for
Scarborough Drive Storm Drain, Century Boulevard to 380' North
of Chenin Blanc Drive be and the same is hereby made to Walker
Construction Co., the low bidder, in the amount of $23, 182.. 50.

a regular meeting held October 5, I977 by the follow-
ing vote:

RESOLUTION NO. 4402
AUTHORIZING £ N ACREEIENT 'A ITH SAN J OAQUIN
COUNTY SAFETY COUNCIL FOR SAFETY SERVICES
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City an Agree—
ment for Safety Services with the San Joaquin County Safety
Council by and between the City of Lodi and the San Joaquin
County Safety Council, an Association, to render services in
educating the community in accident prevention;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lodi that .said City enter into said Agreement
with the other party thereto, and the Mayor of the City of
Lodi is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same
for and on behalf of the City.

AGREEMENT FOR SAFETY SERVICES WITH
SAN JOAQUIN COUMTY SAFETY COUNCIL
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 5th day of
October , 1977, by and between the CITY OF LODI, a
Municipal Corporation, hereinafter designated "CITY," 2nd the
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY SAFETY COUNCIL, an Association, hereinafter
designated "COUNCIL ."
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, Council is a non-profit association devoted
exclusively to accident prevention through education; and
WHEREAS, Council operates in the general public interrst
serving the community as a whole and serving no special inter-
est; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to perform its services for City;
NOW, THEREFOFE, in consideration of the promises and of
the mutual covenants and conditions herein contained, it is
understood and agreed by and between the parties hereto as fol-
lows, to -wit
(1) Council agrees t o use its facilities and special know-
ledge for and on behalf of City in educating the community in
accident prevention, 2nd to adhare to its general operating
policies as adopted by its Board of Directors in August, 1956.
(2) In consideration of the above services, the City agrees
to pay and contribute to Council the sum of ONE THOUSAND S I X
HUNDRED DOLLARS (41,600 .00) toward salaries 2nd supplies during
the fiscal year 1977-78.
(3) By the 15th day of each month, Council shall provide
City with a statement detailing the expenditures for the pre—
ceding month of money agreed to be paid by City hereunder.
City reserves the right to inspect the records of Council at
all reasonable times.
(4) The term of this contract shall be for the fiscal
year commencing July 1, 1977, and ending June 30, 1978.
I N WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunto
affixed their hands and seals the day and year written on
page one.
