HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 4128RESOLUTION NO. 4128 WHEREAS, on October 1, 1975, the Lodi City Council adopted Resolution 4 107 authorizing the billing of each candidate for office when he requests to have his Candidate's Statement of Qualifications translated into Spanish, when such billing is per- missible. WHEREAS, recent amendments to the State of California Elections Code specify that prior to the date nominations open, the Council must determine whether charges will be made to candidates requesting a Candidate's Statement of Qualifications or other authorized mailings and that candidates must be provided with a written statement of said charges at the time nomination papers are issued. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that the estimate of charges to candidates seeking office for the translating, handling, and printing into any permissible language, other than English, of the Candidate's State- ment of Qualifications shall be $300. 00, which shall be applicable only at such times as the billing of said charge to the candidates is permissible.
