RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO CITY
OF LODI OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND
DESIGNATED "COMMUNITY HOSPITAL ADDITION", AND GIVING
NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS THERETO.
BE IT RESOLVED 3X THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than
one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter described territory, by
area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assess-
ment roll of the County of San Joaquin, was filed with the Council
of the City of Lodi on April 23, 1974, requesting annexation of the
hereinafter described territory to said City.
2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to the
City of Lodi and which said City and its Council propose to annex
is situate in the County of San Joaquin, State of California, hereby
designated "Community Hospital Addition", and described as
follows:
A portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10,
Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of "SUN WEST
ADDITION", as described by City of Lodi Resolution No.
36 12 said point being also in the south line of said Northeast
Quarter; thence North 0" 02' 30" West, along the existing
City Limits line, 607. 00 feet; thence South 89' 12' 30" East,
along said City limits line, 200. 00 feet; thence North 0' 02'
30" West, along said City Limits line, 243. 00 feet to a point
in the north line of COCHRAN ROAD; thence South 89' 12' 30"
East, along said north line, 133.42 feet to the southwest
corner of Lot 7, WISNER TRACT, said point being also
the southwest corner of "E. E, WISNER ADDITION NO. 2"
as described by City of Lodi Ordinance No. 996; thence
North, along the existing City Limits line, 200. 75 feet to
the southeast corner of "HIXON ADDITION" as described
by City of Lodi Resolution No. 3631: thence North 89" 12'
30" West, along the existing City Limits line, 450.20 feet;
thence North. along said City Limits line, 209.75 feet to a
point in the south line of " `VESTDALE ADDITION" as
described by City of Lodi Ordinance No. 719; thence North
89" 12' 30" West, along the existing City Limits line, 1010.20
feet to a point in the East line of LOWER SACRAMENTO ROAD,
said point lying 40. 00 feet east of the west line of said
Northeast Quarter: thence South, along said east line of
LOWER SACRAMENTO ROAD, 1260. 50 feet to a point in the
south line of said Northeast Cuarter, said point lying also
40. 00 feet east of the southwest corner of said Northeast
Quarter; thence South 89' 12' 30" East, along the south line
of said Northeast Ouarter, 1127.60 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING, the area thus described containing 34.7 acres,
more or less.
3• That the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Joaquin
County, California, did in session duly assembled on Friday,
August 16, 1974, consider and approve the proposed annexation
of said "Community Hospital Addition", as above described, and
as submitted to said Commission by the proponents of said
annexation.

�i- 4. That Wednesday, February 5, 1975, at the hour of 8:00 p. m. in
the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Lodi, County
of San Joaquin, California, is hereby fixed as the time and the
place when and where any person owning real property within
the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be
annexed to the City of Lodi, and having any objections to the
proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of
Lodi and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be
so annexed to the City of Lodi. The protest must be in writing,
may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections
to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of
the owner or owners of property affected and the description and
area of such property, in general terms.
5. The City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby authorized and
directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least
twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the "Lodi News Sentinel",
a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Lodi.
the city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory,
and also in the "Stockton Record", a newspaper of general circulation
published outside the City of Lodi, but in the County of San Joaquin.
California, the county in which is located the territory proposed to
be annexed to the City of Lodi, said publication to be complete at
least twenty days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. The said City Clerk is further authorized and directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each
person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed
was assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll available

°=° x on the date the above said proceedings were initiated, at the address

shown on said assessment roll or known to said Clerk, and to any
person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the
lands in which he has an interest, either legal or equitable, with said
Clerk, such notice to he given not less than twenty days before the
first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
7. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be annexed to said
City, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by
a County fire protection district, the City Clerk is directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the govern-
ing body of such district, such notice to be sent not less than ten days
before the first public hearing upon such proposed annexation.
8. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to such
other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner
required by law-.
