RESOLUTION NO. 3843
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LODI COMMENDING THE SERVICE OF
BESSIE tBENNETT) MORRIS TO THE CITIZENS
OF THE CITY OF LODI.
MISS BESSIE L. BENNETT was appointed as a Stenographer -Clerk with the
City of Lodi on Tuesday, the second day of January in the year 1962; and
MISS BESSIE L. BENNETT was promoted to the position of Secretary to the
City Manager - City Clerk on Thursday, the first day of February, in
the year 1968, and
on Saturday, the twenty-ninth day of September in the year 1973, MISS
BESSIE L, BENNETT became the wife of MR, KENNETH MORRIS; and
MRS. BESSIE (BENNETT) MORRIS has tendered her resignation
positions of Gecretary to the City Manager and City Clerk
Manager, effective Friday, the nineteenth day of November
1973; ani

WHEREAS a the City Council of the City of Lodi wishes to give recognition to MRS.
BESSIE (BENNETT) MORRIS for her years of outstanding service to the
citizens of the City, and said City Council; and
WHEREAS* said City Council is desirous of acknowledging ?'.RS. BESSIE (BENNETT)
MORRIS' many contributions to the City of Lodi;
NOW THEREFORE SE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lodi commends
the services of MRS. BESSIE (BENNETT) MORRIS from 1962 to 1973 to the
citizens of said City and said City Council, and said City Council
hereby acknowledges her many contributions to said City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Deputy City Clerk of Lodi cause a certified
copy of the Resolution to be transmitted to MRS, BESSIE (BENNETT)
MORRIS.
The foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted at a Regular Session
of the City Council of the City of Lodi held an Wednesday, the seventh
day of November in the year 1973 by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMAN - EZRA EHRHARDT, WALTER KATNICH, JAMES PINKERTON,
BEN SCHAF'ER, AND RICHARD L. HUGHES (MAYOR)
