Repairs and maintains street light systems including wiring, ballasts, photo controls, series and multiple relays and conductors and cables; patrols City to repair or replace damaged globes, bulbs, wiring, circuits and switches; installs and maintains standards, installs wires between pales and underground in conduit; paints standards, washes globes and trims trees; may be required to read, sit, remove, connect and disconnect meters, install voltage and load survey instruments and service drops; may assist linemen where climbing Ir contact with high voltage energied equipment 3s not required. Maim Possession of an appropriate California operator's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles. I Equipment, tools, instruments and methods employed in the construcc.tion and m,a.intenaace- of street lighting, electrical distribution and transmission systems; Electrical codes, including State General Orders; f1recautions necessary in working with energized limes and equipment; Fundamental safe,workiug methods and procedures, first aid and methods of applying resusitation; Basic electrical theory as applied to electrical circuits and wiring systems. and 11, C Street Light Maintenance Man - 2 AbilLty to - Safety operate trucks, aerial lifts and other construction equipment; Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; Perform minor repairs on trucks and other construction equipment; Keep simple operating records as required; Cooperate and work with others to promote and maintain good public relations. MM. A minimum.of two years' experience in electrical utility construction and maintenance work. and Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Range: $846 ® $1028
