A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "GOEHRING ADDITION"
TO THE CITY OF LODI.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by all of the owner8 of certain uninhabited
territory, hereinafter more particularly described, was presented to the City of
Lodi which petition did request annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi;
and,
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the San Joaquin County Local
Agency Formation commission for their approval and the approval of that body
was given at its meeting held on July 2I, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, the San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission
granted the City of Lodi power to waive notice and hearing on the proposed an-
nexation pursuant to the provisions of Section 54797. 1 of the Government Code;
and,
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council of the City of
Lodi at a regular meeting held September 6. 1972; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi finds the foregoing state-
ments to be true and correct; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi,
and that the same is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby
approve the annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter described
and does hereby further resolve that said territory be and the same is hereby
annexed to the City of Lodi.
That said territory, the annexation of which is described as follows:
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 3 North,
Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian. and more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the South line of said
Northwest Quarter with the East right-of-way line of HUTCHINS
STREET (110 feet wide), formerly known as West Lane; thence
northerly, along said East right-of-way line of HUTCHINS STREET,
495. 53 feet to a point in the South line of that certain 5 -acre tract
of land described in Deed to Filen E. Goehring, et tlx, recorded in
Volume 3242, page 26, Book of Official Records of San Jaaquin
County, said point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, and
also being in the existing City limit line as described by City of
Lodi Ordinance No. $2.4, "ROBS Y'5 ADDITION, " adopted March 18,
1970: thence easterly along said South line a distance of 532.49
feet; thence leaving said existing City limit line, continue easterly
along the South line of said Goehring property and its easterly
extension 2 10. 05 feet to the East right-of-way line of CHURCH
STREET (40 feet wide); thence N. 87' 40' 00" E. , along the North
line of that parcel of land shown on Map of Survey filed for record
June 9, 1967, in Book 16, of Surveys, at page 67, San Joaquin
County Records, 758.80 feet to a point in the West line of the

Southern Pacific Railroad 100 -foot -wide right-of-way, said point
being N. 3' 54' 00" E. , 502. 92 feet from the intersection of said
West line with the South line of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 13; thence northerly along said West line, 558, 36 feet to the
Southeast corner of "LOWE'S ADDITION" as described by City ci
Lodi Ordinance No. 467, adopted October 22, 1952; thence West
along the South line of said "LOWE'S ADDITION" being existing
City Limit Line, 797.28 feet to the Southwest corner of said
"LOWE'S ADDITION, " said point being also the Southeast corner
of the "CHURCH STREET ADDITION" as described by City of
Lodi Ordinance No. 666, adopted February 24, 1960; thence
continuing westerly, along the South line of said "CHURCH STREET
ADDITION" being existing City Limit Line, 182.00 ieet; thence
northerly. along said City Limit Line, 273. 00 feet; thence westerly,
along said City Limit Line, 520. 00 feet to a point in the East right -
0: -way line of HUTCHINS STREET (1 10 feet wide), said point being
also in the East line of "J. C. BECKMAN ADDITION" a3 described
by City of Ladi Ordinance No, 901, adopted July 2, 1969, being
existing City Limit Line; thence sQutheriy, along said City Limit
Line. 626. 67 feet to the true point of beginning, the area thus des-
cribed, containing 23. 08 acres more or less.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms and conditions of annexation
are none.

the City Council of the City of Lodi in a regular meeting held September 6,
1972, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen - Hughes, Katnich, Pinkerton, Schauer
and Ehrhardt
