A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY. DESIGNATED "HIXSON ADDITION"
TO THE CITY OF LODI.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939. a petition signed by all of the owners of certain uninhakited
territory. hereinaiter more particularly described, was presented to the City
of Lodi which petition did request annexation of said territory to the City of
Lodi; and,
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the San Joaquin County Local
Agency Formation Commission for their approval and the approval of that
body was given at its meeting held on April 21, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, the San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission
granted the City of Lodi power to waive notice and hearing on the proposed
annexation pursuant to the previsions of Section 54797. 1 of the Government
Code; and,
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council of the City
of Lodi at an adjourned regular meeting held May 24, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi finds the foregoing
statements to be true and correct: that said territory is contiguous to the City
of Lodi, and that the same is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby
approve the annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter described
and does hereby further resolve rhat said territory be and the same is hereby
annexed to the City of Lodi.
That said territory. the annexation of which is described as follows:
A portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 3 North.
Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, San Joaquin County,
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the South line of "Westdale Addition", as annexed
to the City of Lodi by Ordinance No. 719, said point lying South 89"
12' 30" East, 1050.20 feet from the West line of said Northeast Quarter
and being on the existing City Limits line of the City of Lodi; thence,
ieaving said City Limits line South, 209.75 feet to the southeast corner
of that certain 1.05 acre parcel shown on map of survey. filed in Book
of Surveys, Voiume 21, page 94, San Joaquin County Records; thence
South 89" 12' 30" East, along the south tine of said 1. 05 acre parcel
and along the south line of that certain 1.00 acre parcel shown on said
map of survey. a distance of 450.20 feet to the southwest corner of
said 1, 00 acre parcel; thence North, along the west line of said 1, 00
acre parcel and its northerly production, a distance of 209. 75 feet to
a point in the south line of said "Westdale Addition" annexation, being
on aforesaid City Limits line; thence North 89" 12' 30" West along
said City Limits line, 450.20 feet to the point of beginning, and con-
taining 2.2. acres. more or less.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms and conditions of annexation
a r e none.
