HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 3630RESOLUTION NO. 3630 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "ALMOND DRIVE ADDITION" TO THE CITY OF LODI. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by all of the owners of certain unin- habited territory, hereinafter more particularly described. was presented to the City of Lodi which petition did request annexation of said territory to the City of Lodi: and, WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission for their approval and the approval of that body was given at its meeting held on March 17, 1972; and, WHEREAS, the San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission granted the City of Lodi pourer to waive notice and hearing on the proposed annexation pursuant to the provisions of Section 54797. 1 of the Government Code; and, WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council of the City of Lodi at an adjourned regular meeting held May 24, 1972; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi finds the foregoing statements to be true and correct; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi, and that the same is uninhabited territory in the County of San Joaquin; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby approve the annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter described and does hereby further resolve that said territory be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Lodi. That said territory, the annexation of which is described as fdllows; A portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 3 North, Range b East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, being more particularly described as follows; Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 3 of "A. J. Larson's Subdivision" of the Northeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 3 North. Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, filed for record November 7, 1890 in Volume 2, page 4, Maps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records, said northwest coiner being on the existing City Limit line of the City of Lodi; thence leaving said City Limit line South Oa' 38' East. along the west line of Lot 3 and the west line and its southerly extension of Lot 4 of said Subdivision, a distance of 917. 05 feet, to a point in the south line of Almond Drive (50 feet wide); thence North 86' 44' East, along said south 'line and the easterly extension of said south line, a distance of 1105, 20 feet, to a point in the east line of Cherokee Lane; thence northerly along said east line, 50. 05 feet to intersection with the easterly extension of the north line of said Almond Drive, said intersection being on aforesaid City Limit line; thence South 86' 44' West along said easterly extension and north line of Almond Drive; being along said City Limit line, 732. 60 feet to the southwest corner of the "Nathan Addition", as annexed to the City of Lodi, October 5. 1961 by Ordinance No. 704, thence North 0' 39' West. along the west line cf said "Nathan Addition" 868. 3 feet, to a point in the north line of aforesaid Lot 3, said point also being the northwest corner of said "Nathan Addition':; thence westerly along said north line of Lot 3, being along said City Lindt line, a distance of 372. 40 feet, to the pqint of beginning, and containing 8.67 acres, more or less. -31a-30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms and conditions of annexation are none.
