HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 3625RESOLUTION NO. 3625 FIRE HYDRANT POLICY WHEREAS, the City Council has long established policies regarding fire hydrant installation within the City and is desirous of modifying the policy within subdivisions and other developments: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that the policy for installation of fire hydrants within the City of Lodi shall be as follows; 1. In subdivisions, the developer shall install hydrants in locations specified by the Fire Chief at the developer's total expense. 2. 1n Industrial -commercial developments. the City will use a $100 per acre fee collected at the tine of development, and the City will make public street installations necessary as determined by the Fire Chief. 3. In connection with the blaster Water Plan project, the City will install and upgrade fire hydrants at locations specified by the Fire Chief as a part of the water line improvements. 4. Individual fire hydrants will be installed by the City at locations requested by the Fire Chief as part of the fire hydrant portion of the Capital Improvement Budget. 5. The type of hydrant shall be as approved by the Fire Chief and installation shall be completed in a manner satisfactory to the Public Works Director. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this policy change shall apply to all properties developed after March 15, 1972, except tentative maps approved by the Planning Commission prior to that date and developed within 18 months of the approval date by the Planning Commission.
