DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LODI TO VACATE A PORTION OF SUNSET
DRIVE NORTH OF WEST LOCUST STREET
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi as
follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Lodi, acting in accordance with the provisions of Sections 8300
et seq of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
to vacate, close, and abandon as public streets the following portion
of Sunset Drive situated in the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin,
State of California, more particularly described as follows, to wit:
All that portion of Sunset Drive lying North of the North line
of Locust Street as shown on Map of Fairmont Park filed for
record April 17, 1950 in Volume 13 at page 62, Book of Maps
and Plats. San Joaquin County Records.
Reserving, however, and excepting from the vacation of said
street, the permanent easement and the right therein to construct,
maintain and repair and operate lines for public utilities, both
publicly and privately owned, in, over, and across a strip
of land 12 feet in width lying 6 feet on each side of the
centerline of said Sunset Drive.
Reference is hereby made to a map or plan on file in the office of the
City Clerk for particulars as to the proposed vacation.
Section Z. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that this City Council
does hereby fix Wednesday, December 15, 1971, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock p.m. and Needham School Little Theater, corner of Chestnut
and Pleasant, Lodi, California, as the time and place when and where
all persons interested in or objecting to the vacation herein proposed
may appear before this City Council and be heard.

Section 3. Upon adoption of this resolution the Director of
Public Works shall post. or cause to be posted, notice of such passage
and of the time and place set herein for public hearing, in accordance
with and in time, form and manner as prescribed by law for the
vacation of streets.
Section 4. This resolution shall be published one time in the
Lodi News -Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation printed and
published in the City of Lodi, said publication to be completed at
least fifteen days prior to said hearing.

adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in regular
meeting held on November 3, 1971 by the following vote:

Schaffer and Katnich
