HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 3519RESOLUTION NO. 3519 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN POLICE RECORDS ( POLICE DEPARTMENT) WHEREAS, the City Attorney has given his written consent to the destruction of certain records in the Police Department: and WHEREAS, this City Council concurs in the judgment of the City Attorney in regard to the destruction of said records; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in accordance with Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California, the City of Lodi Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized to destroy the following records: 1. All offense reports of felony crimes which have been in in file for more than ten years as of January 1, 1970, with the exception of cases involving capital crimes, embezzlement of public funds, bribery of public officials, cases involving identifiable stolen property, offenses covered by Penal Code Section 209, and offenses covered by Health and Safety Code Section 11850-11853. 2. All offense reports of misdemeanor crimes which have been in file for more than five years as of January I, 1970. 3. All alphabetical index cards. other than arrest jacket index which have not had entries in the past ten years with the same exceptions as in Item No. 1 above. 4. All cross reference index cards (color cards) which are no longer of effective statistical use, Dated: June 16, 1971 I hereby certify that Resolution No. 3519 was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in regular meeting held June 16, 1971 by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen - EHRHARDT, HUGHES, KIRSTEN and KATNICH Noes: Councilmen - None `-� Absent: Councilmen - SCHAFFER 4��i f �; r YA, S� i u � i� �plF P s•,; y'�'� 3519
