A RESOLUTION OPPOSING PROPOSED LEGISLATION
PERMITTING THE DISSOLUTION OF THE SAN JOAQUIN
LOCAL HEALTH DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi is most
aware of the health services provided by the
San Joaquin Local Health District; and
WHEREAS, the service as presently structured is a distinct
benefit to the citizens of the City of Lodi; and
WHEREAS, proposed legislation would simplify the procedure
for the dissolution of said district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Lodi that strong opposition to
such legislation be expressed:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to send copies of this resolution to
the Honorable Alan Short, State Senator, and
the Honorable Robert T. Monagan, State
Assemblyman.

adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in regular
meeting held April 21, 1971 by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen - Ehrhardt, Hughes, Katnich,
Kirsten and Schaffer
Noes: Councilmen - None
