RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF PACIFIC SOUTHWEST AIRLINES
WHEREAS, the San Joaquin County area has recently
experienced a severe reduction in commercial air service, and
WHEREAS, remaining commercial air service does not
fully meet the needs of the citizens of the area, and
WHEREAS, there exists a definite need for better and
more frequent commercial air service to both the Los Angeles
and San Francisco gateways, and
WHEREAS, adequate commercial air service is a vital
necessity in the business, professional and public community of
today, and,
WHEREAS, Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) has demon-
strated its willingness to bring more adequate commercial air
service to the San Joaquin County area. and
WHEREAS, PSA has shown its interest by filing with the
California Public Utilities Commission for permission to serve
the area with four southbound and four northbound daily flights
connecting to the Los Angeles and San Francisco gateways,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of Lodi does hereby endorse the efforts of
PSA to serve the area with adequate commercial air service
and does further urge members of the California Public Utilities
Commission to give favorable consideration to the request by
Pacific Southwest Airlines.

adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in regular
meeting held December 2, 1970 by the following vote:
Ayes; Councilmen - EHRHARDT, HUGHES, KATNICH, KIRSTEN
and SCHAFFER
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - None
